In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

看哪，我要在何烈的磐石那里，站在你面前。你要击打磐石，水就会从磐石流出来，给百姓喝。”摩西就在以色列的长老眼前这样做了。

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要从天降食物给你们。百姓可以出去，每天收集当天的分量。这样，我就可以考验他们是否遵行我的指示。

那一层露水蒸发之后，看哪，旷野的表面出现了小圆物，好像地上的薄霜一样。以色列人看见了，不知道是什么，就彼此说：“这是什么？”摩西对他们说：“这是耶和华给你们吃的食物。

他们祈求，他就使鹌鹑飞来，并用天上的粮食使他们饱足。他敲开磐石，水就涌出；在干旱之处，水流成河。

并且我在旷野向他们起誓，必不领他们进入我所赐的流奶与蜜之地，就是全地中最美好之地；

他叫磐石变为水池，使坚石变为泉源。

我们的祖宗在旷野吃过吗哪，如经上写着：‘他从天上赐下粮食来给他们吃。’”于是耶稣对他们说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，那从天上来的粮不是摩西赐给你们的，那从天上来的真粮是我父赐给你们的。因为上帝的粮就是那位从天上降下来，并且赐生命给世界的。”于是他们对他说：“主啊，请常常把这粮赐给我们！”耶稣对他们说：“我就是生命的粮。到我这里来的，绝不饥饿；信我的，永不干渴。

他磨炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

曾引领你经过那大而可怕的旷野，有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他也曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来，又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，为要磨炼你，考验你，终久使你享福。

你赐下你良善的灵教导他们，没有收回吗哪不给他们吃，仍赐水给他们解渴。

降吗哪像雨，给他们吃，将天上的粮食赐给他们。各人就吃大能者的食物；他赐下粮食，使他们饱足。

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你拿着杖去，和你的哥哥亚伦召集会众，在他们眼前吩咐磐石涌出水来，水就会从磐石流出，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。”于是摩西遵照耶和华所吩咐他的，从耶和华面前拿了杖去。摩西和亚伦召集会众到磐石前。摩西对他们说：“听着，你们这些悖逆的人！我们要叫这磐石流出水来给你们吗？”摩西举起手来，用杖击打磐石两下，就有许多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。但是耶和华对摩西、亚伦说：“因为你们不信我，没有在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不能领这会众进入我所要赐给他们的地去。”这就是米利巴水，因以色列人与耶和华争闹，耶和华在他们面前显为圣。

看，耶和华—你的上帝已将那地摆在你面前，你要照耶和华—你列祖的上帝所说的，上去得那地为业。不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。’

必不得进我所起誓应许给你们居住的那地。惟有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚才能进去。

“我的仆人摩西死了。现在你要起来，和众百姓过这约旦河，往我所要赐给以色列人的地去。凡你们脚掌所踏之地，我都照我所应许摩西的话赐给你们了。从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你们的疆土。

你曾用膀臂赎了你的子民，就是雅各和约瑟的子孙。（细拉）上帝啊，众水见你，众水一见你就都惊惶，深渊也都战抖。密云倒出水来，天空发出响声，你的箭也飞行四方。你的雷声在旋风之中，闪电照亮世界，大地战抖震动。你的道在海中，你的路在大水之中，你的脚踪无人知道。你曾藉摩西和亚伦的手引导你的百姓，好像领羊群一般。
