In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

看吧，我必站在你前面，在何烈磐石那裏；你要擊打磐石，就有水從磐石裏出來，讓人民喝。』摩西就在以色列長老眼前這樣行了。

都喫了一樣的靈食，也都喝了一樣的靈飲，從隨行着的屬靈磐石上喝的：那磐石就是上帝所膏立者基督。

看哪，我將這地擺在你們面前，你們要進去，取得這地以為業、就是永恆主向你們列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許給他們和他們以後的苗裔的。」

永恆主對摩西說：『看吧，我要從天上將食物降給你們；人民可以出去，每天撿每天的分兒，我好試驗他們遵不遵行我的法度。

那露水消散了以後，就見野地上、有細小鱗狀的東西、細小像白霜在地上。以色列人看見，不知道是甚麼，就彼此對問說：『這是甚麼？』摩西對他們說：『這是永恆主給你們喫的食物。

他們一求，他就使鵪鶉飛來，用天上的糧食讓他們飽足。他打開了磐石，水就湧出；在乾旱之處水流成河。

我並且我在曠野也曾向他們舉手起了誓、必不領他們進我所賜給他們、流奶與蜜之地，就是在列邦中最華美的；

他叫磐石變為水塘，叫硬石頭變為水泉。

我們的祖宗在野地裏喫過嗎哪；照所記載的：「上帝將從天上來的餅給他們喫。」』於是耶穌對他們說：『我實實在在地告訴你們，不是摩西將那從天上來的餅給了你們的，乃是我父將這從天上來的真的餅給你們。因為上帝的餅、就是這從天上降下來、將生命給世界的。』於是他們對耶穌說：『主啊，時常將這餅給我們吧。』耶穌對他們說：『我、就是生命的餅；來找我的、必定不餓；信我的、必定永遠不渴。

他使你受苦，任你饑餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你喫，使你知道人活着、不是單靠着食物，人活着、乃是靠着永恆主口裏所出的一切話。

他引領你走過那大而可怕的曠野，那裏有火蛇、有蠍子、有乾渴無水之地；他曾為了你而使水從硬石頭的磐石中流出來。在曠野、他將你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你喫，都是要使你受苦，要試驗你，使你終久得好處；

你也賜下你至善的靈來訓誨他們，並不留住你的嗎哪、而使他們的口沒的喫，你又賜水給他們解渴。

降嗎哪像雨做他們的糧食，將天降的穀物賜給他們。人喫天使的食物；上帝送下糧食給他們喫飽。

永恆主告訴摩西說：『你拿着手杖，召集會眾，你和你哥哥亞倫要召集他們；你們要在他們眼前吩咐磐石出水；你要為他們從磐石上引出水來、給會眾和他們的牲口喝。』於是摩西從永恆主面前拿了手杖去，照永恆主所吩咐他的。摩西、亞倫就召集了大眾到磐石前；摩西對他們說：『悖逆的人哪，聽吧！難道我們要叫水從這磐石中流出來給你們麼？』摩西舉手，用手杖把磐石擊打了兩下，就有許多水流了出來，會眾和他們的牲口都喝了。永恆主對摩西、亞倫說：『因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，故此你們必不得領這大眾進我所賜給他們的地。』這些水是米利巴水，因為在那裏以色列人向永恆主吵鬧，永恆主在他們中間顯示為聖。

看哪，永恆主你的上帝已將那地擺在你面前；你要照永恆主你列祖的上帝所告訴你的上去，取得那地以為業；不要怕，不要驚慌。」

都一定不得進入我所舉手起誓叫你們居住的地；惟獨耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才得以進去。

『我的僕人摩西死了；現在你要起來，你和這眾民都起來，過這約但河，到我所賜給他們、以色列人的地去。凡你們腳掌所踏的地方、我都照我所告訴過摩西的賜給你們了。從曠野和這利巴嫩、直到大河、就是伯拉河、赫人全地、又到大海、日落的方向、都要做你們的境界。

你用膀臂贖回了你的人民、雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）上帝啊，諸水看見了你；諸水一見了你就翻騰；深淵都戰抖。密雲倒出水來；雲霄發出響聲；你的閃箭也飛來飛去。你的雷聲在旋風中；電閃照亮世界；大地戰抖震動。你的道路在海中，你的路途在大水裏；你的腳蹤無人知道。你曾藉着摩西亞倫的手領導你人民像羊羣一般。
