In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

耶和華對摩西說：“看哪，我要把糧食從天上降給你們；人民可以出去，每天收取當天的分量，我好試驗他們是否遵行我的律法。

露水上升以後，就見野地上有細小鱗狀的東西，像小白霜一樣細小的東西。以色列人看見了，就彼此對問說：“這是甚麼？”原來他們不知道那是甚麼。摩西對他們說：“這就是耶和華賜給你們吃的食物。

他們一求，他就使鵪鶉飛來，並且用天上的糧食使他們飽足。他裂開磐石，水就湧流出來；在乾旱之處水流成河。

我在曠野也曾經向他們舉手起誓，必不領他們到我賜給他們的流奶與蜜之地，就是萬邦中最榮美的地。

他使磐石變為水池，使堅石變為水泉。

我們的祖宗在曠野吃過嗎哪，正如經上所記：‘他把從天上來的食物賜給他們吃。’”耶穌對他們說：“我實實在在告訴你們，不是摩西把那從天上來的食物賜給你們，而是我父把天上來的真食物賜給你們；因為神的食物就是從天上降下來，把生命賜給世人的那一位。”他們對耶穌說：“主啊，求你常把這食物賜給我們。”耶穌說：“我就是生命的食物，到我這裡來的，必定不餓；信我的，永遠不渴。

他使你受苦，任你飢餓，把你和你的列祖不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道人活著，不是單靠食物，更要靠耶和華口裡所出的一切話。

他引導你走過那大而可畏的曠野，那裡有火蛇，有蠍子，有乾旱無水之地；他曾經為你使水從堅硬的磐石中流出來。他在曠野把你的列祖不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，是要使你受苦，要試煉你，使你終久得到福樂；

你賜下良善的靈教導他們；你沒有留住嗎哪不給他們吃；你給他們水解渴。

他降嗎哪給他們吃，把天上的食物賜給他們。於是人吃了天使的食物，是神賜下的食糧，使他們飽足。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要拿著杖，和你的哥哥亞倫聚集會眾，在他們眼前，吩咐磐石出水；這樣你就可以使磐石流出水來，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。”於是，摩西照著耶和華吩咐他的，從耶和華面前拿了杖去。摩西和亞倫聚集了會眾到磐石面前；摩西對他們說：“悖逆的人哪，你們要聽，我們為你們使水從磐石中流出來嗎？”摩西舉手，用杖擊打磐石兩次，就有很多水流出來，會眾和他們的牲畜都喝了。耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：“因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不得領這會眾進入我賜給他們的地。”這就是米利巴水，因為以色列人在那裡與耶和華爭鬧，耶和華在他們中間顯為聖。

看哪，耶和華你的神已經把這地擺在你面前；你要照著耶和華你列祖的神告訴你的上去，佔領那地；不要害怕，也不要驚惶。’

都不得進入我起誓給你們居住的那地；只有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才可以進去。

“我的僕人摩西死了；現在你要起來，和全體人民過這約旦河，到我現在要賜給他們以色列人的地去。你們腳掌踏過的每一處地方，我都照著我應許摩西的賜給你們了。從曠野和這黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼發拉底河，赫人的全地，以至大海日落的地方，就是你們的疆界。

你曾用你的膀臂救贖你的子民，就是雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）神啊！眾水看見你，眾水看見你就懼怕，深淵也都戰抖。密雲傾降雨水，天空發出響聲，你的箭閃射四方。你的雷聲在旋風中響起來，閃電照亮了世界，大地戰抖震動。你的道路經過海洋，你的路徑穿過大水，但你的腳蹤無人知道。你曾藉著摩西和亞倫的手，帶領你的子民如同帶領羊群一樣。
