那时，他想起古时的日子，就是摩西和他子民的日子：那把他们和他群羊的牧人们从海里带上来的，在哪里呢？那把他的圣灵降在他们当中的，在哪里呢？那让自己荣耀的膀臂在摩西右边作工，在他们面前把水分开，为自己成就永远之名的，在哪里呢？那领他们走过深渊的，在哪里呢？他们像旷野中的马没有绊跌；

海水看见了就逃跑，约旦河也倒流。群山跳跃如公羊，冈陵跳跃如羊羔。海水啊，你为什么逃跑呢？约旦河啊，你为什么倒流呢？

他斥责红海，海就干涸了；他带他们走过深渊，如同走过旱地。他拯救他们脱离仇恨者的手，从仇敌的手中救赎了他们。水淹没了他们的敌人，连一个也没有留下。

因着信，他们走过了红海，像走过干地那样；埃及人试着这样做，就被吞灭了。

他曾把海变成干地，众人曾步行过河——在那里，让我们因他而欢喜！

随后，一位强有力的天使拿起一块像大磨石那样的石头，把它丢进海里，说：“大巴比伦城也将这样被猛烈地扔下去，绝不会再找到了！
