Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all,“ This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

Nehemiah was the governor. Ezra was a priest and the teacher of the Law. They spoke up. So did the Levites who were teaching the people. All these men said to the people,“ This day is set apart to honor the Lord your God. So don’t weep. Don’t be sad.” All the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people,“ This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law.

有些族长为工程捐助。省长捐入库中的金子一千达利克，碗五十个，祭司的礼服五百三十件。

七月初一日，祭司以斯拉将律法书带到听了能明白的男女会众面前。

在那里，耶和华你们神的面前，你们和你们的家属都可以吃，并且因你手所办的一切事蒙耶和华你的神赐福，就都欢乐。

你们和儿女、仆婢，并住在你们城里无份无业的利未人，都要在耶和华你们的神面前欢乐。

哭有时，笑有时；哀恸有时，跳舞有时；

签名的是：哈迦利亚的儿子、省长尼希米，和西底家；

守节的时候，你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要欢乐。在耶和华所选择的地方，你当向耶和华你的神守节七日；因为耶和华你神在你一切的土产上和你手里所办的事上要赐福与你，你就非常地欢乐。

“你晓谕以色列人说：七月初一，你们要守为圣安息日，要吹角作纪念，当有圣会。

你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及在你们中间寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要在耶和华你神所选择立为他名的居所，在耶和华你的神面前欢乐。

省长对他们说：“不可吃至圣的物，直到有用乌陵和土明决疑的祭司兴起来。”

“七月初一日，你们当有圣会；什么劳碌的工都不可做，是你们当守为吹角的日子。你们要将公牛犊一只，公绵羊一只，没有残疾、一岁的公羊羔七只，作为馨香的燔祭献给耶和华。同献的素祭用调油的细面；为一只公牛要献伊法十分之三；为一只公绵羊要献伊法十分之二；为那七只羊羔，每只要献伊法十分之一。又献一只公山羊作赎罪祭，为你们赎罪。这些是在月朔的燔祭和同献的素祭，并常献的燔祭与同献的素祭，以及照例同献的奠祭以外，都作为馨香的火祭献给耶和华。”

我以前没有律法是活着的；但是诫命来到，罪又活了，我就死了。

祭司以斯拉是通达耶和华诫命和赐以色列之律例的文士。亚达薛西王赐给他们谕旨，上面写着说：

赐华冠与锡安悲哀的人，代替灰尘；喜乐油代替悲哀；赞美衣代替忧伤之灵；使他们称为“公义树”，是耶和华所栽的，叫他得荣耀。

我守丧的时候，没有吃这圣物；不洁净的时候，也没有拿出来，又没有为死人送去。我听从了耶和华我神的话，都照你所吩咐的行了。

又对那归耶和华为圣、教训以色列人的利未人说：“你们将圣约柜安放在以色列王大卫儿子所罗门建造的殿里，不必再用肩扛抬。现在要侍奉耶和华你们的神，服侍他的民以色列。

耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅，和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。他们清清楚楚地念神的律法书，讲明意思，使百姓明白所念的。

希西家慰劳一切善于侍奉耶和华的利未人。于是众人吃节筵七日，又献平安祭，且向耶和华他们列祖的神认罪。

就是听见我指着这地和其上的居民所说、要使这地变为荒场、民受咒诅的话，你便心里敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允了你。这是我耶和华说的。

如今我欢喜，不是因你们忧愁，是因你们从忧愁中生出懊悔来。你们依着神的意思忧愁，凡事就不至于因我们受亏损了。因为依着神的意思忧愁，就生出没有后悔的懊悔来，以致得救；但世俗的忧愁是叫人死。你看，你们依着神的意思忧愁，从此就生出何等的殷勤、自诉、自恨、恐惧、想念、热心、责罚。在这一切事上，你们都表明自己是洁净的。

我的民因无知识而灭亡。你弃掉知识，我也必弃掉你，使你不再给我作祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘记你的儿女。

这都是在约撒达的孙子、耶书亚的儿子约雅金和省长尼希米，并祭司文士以斯拉的时候，有职任的。

王听见律法书上的话，便撕裂衣服，

所以凡有血气的，没有一个因行律法能在神面前称义，因为律法本是叫人知罪。

以色列人不信真神，没有训诲的祭司，也没有律法，已经好久了；

你们又行了一件这样的事，使前妻叹息哭泣的眼泪遮盖耶和华的坛，以致耶和华不再看顾那供物，也不乐意从你们手中收纳。

王听见律法上的话，就撕裂衣服，

“你们去为我、为以色列和犹大剩下的人，以这书上的话求问耶和华；因我们列祖没有遵守耶和华的言语，没有照这书上所记的去行，耶和华的烈怒就倒在我们身上。”
