“凡是有耳的，就应当听圣灵向各教会所说的话！”

因此，我们必须更加留心所听过的事，免得随流漂去。要知道，那藉着天使所说的话既然是确定的，连一切过犯和悖逆都受到了应得的报应，那么，如果我们忽视了如此伟大的救恩，又怎么能逃脱报应呢？这救恩起初由主传讲，后来由那些听见的人向我们证实。

我们之所以也不住地感谢神，是因为你们接受了从我们所听的神的话语，没有把它看做人的话语，而是把它看做神的话语接受了；这确实是神的话语，而且它也正在你们这些信的人里面做工。

这里的人比帖撒罗尼迦的人开明。他们满心乐意地接受这福音，天天查考经文，要看这些事是否如此。

实际上，住在耶路撒冷的人和他们的首领们都不认识这一位，也不明白每逢安息日所诵读的先知们的话，就把他定罪，从而应验了这些话。

耶稣来到拿撒勒，就是他长大的地方。在安息日那天，他照自己的习惯进了会堂，站起来要诵读经文。有人就把先知以赛亚的书递给他。他展开书卷，找到一处，那里写道：“主的灵在我身上，因为他膏立我去向贫穷的人传福音，他差派我去宣告：被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，让受欺压的得自由，宣告主所悦纳的禧年。”然后耶稣把书卷好，还给会堂助理，坐了下来。会堂里，众人的眼睛都注视着他。

可是他们不知道怎样下手，因为民众都倾心听他。

诵读了律法和先知书以后，会堂主管们派人来对他们说：“各位兄弟，如果有什么鼓励民众的话，就请说吧。”

所以，你们要留心怎样去听；因为凡是有的，还要赐给他；凡是没有的，连他自以为有的也将从他那里被拿走。”

于是他们和保罗定好了日子，就有更多的人来到他的住所。保罗从早到晚对他们讲解，为神的国郑重地做见证，并且引用摩西的律法和先知书上有关耶稣的事来劝导他们。

有一个敬拜神的妇人，名叫莉迪娅，是锡亚蒂拉城卖紫色布的商人。她一直在听，主开启她的心窍，使她留心保罗所讲的话。

大卫自己称基督为‘主’，基督又怎么会是大卫的后裔呢？”那一大群人都乐意听耶稣讲说。

因为自古以来，在各城里都有人宣讲摩西，每逢安息日在各会堂里都有人诵读他的书。”

当耶稣讲完了这些话，众人都对他的教导惊叹不已，因为耶稣教导他们，就像有权柄的人，不像他们的经文士们。

保罗再上去，掰饼吃了，又交谈了许久，直到天亮才出发。

在一周的头一天，门徒们聚集掰饼的时候，保罗向他们讲论，因第二天就要离开，于是一直讲到半夜。
