On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the teacher to give attention to the words of the Law.

All the family leaders gathered around Ezra, the teacher. So did the priests and Levites. All of them paid attention to the words of the Law. It was the second day of the month.

On the second day the heads of fathers’ houses of all the people, with the priests and the Levites, came together to Ezra the scribe in order to study the words of the Law.

On October 9 the family leaders of all the people, together with the priests and Levites, met with Ezra the scribe to go over the Law in greater detail.

我兒啊，你若領受我的言語，珍藏我的命令，留心聽智慧，專心求聰明；你若呼求明理，揚聲求聰明，尋找她，如尋找銀子，搜尋她，如搜尋寶藏，你就懂得敬畏耶和華，得以認識神。因為耶和華賞賜智慧，知識和聰明都由他口而出。

他們走出會堂的時候，眾人請他們在下一個安息日再講這些話給他們聽。

彼得和約翰正向百姓說話的時候，祭司們、守殿官和撒都該人來了，

耶書亞、巴尼、示利比、雅憫、亞谷、沙比太、荷第雅、瑪西雅、基利他、亞撒利雅、約撒拔、哈難、毗萊雅和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。他們清清楚楚地念神的律法書，講明意思，使百姓明白所念的。

全會眾商議，要再守節七日；於是他們歡歡喜喜地又守節七日。

眾人看見他們走了，有許多認識他們的，就從各城步行，一同跑到那裏，比他們先趕到了。耶穌出來，見有一大羣的人，就憐憫他們，因為他們如同羊沒有牧人一般，於是開始教導他們許多事。

主的僕人不可爭辯，只要溫和待人，善於教導，恆心忍耐，用溫柔勸導反對的人。也許神會給他們悔改的心能明白真理，

喜愛管教的，就是喜愛知識；恨惡責備的，卻像畜牲。

耶穌天天在聖殿裏教導人。祭司長、文士和百姓的領袖都想殺他，但找不出方法來，因為百姓都側耳聽他。
