Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for[ this] day[ is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

他又對他們說：『你們去喫肥美的，喝甘甜的，將祭肉分兒送給那不能豫備的；因為今天是我們的主的聖日；你們不要憂愁，因為靠永恆主而得的喜樂、就是你們的力量。』

又曰、往哉、食肥飲甘、無者頒之、此乃我主之聖日、毋憂戚、因耶和華而樂、是為爾之能力、

汝往哉、食其珍錯、飲其甘旨、無者頒之、此乃聖日、奉事耶和華、勿復殷憂、惟賴耶和華、眾姓臚歡。

尼希米又告之曰、而往哉、食肥飲甘、有未備者、而分予之、此乃我主之聖日、勿憂、因主而樂、實為爾之護庇、

Nehemiah said,“ Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Nehemiah said,“ Go and enjoy some good food and sweet drinks. Send some of it to people who don’t have any. This day is holy to our Lord. So don’t be sad. The joy of the Lord makes you strong.”

Then he said to them,“ Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

And Nehemiah continued,“ Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

Then he said to them,“ Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Then he said to them,“ Go, eat the festival foods, drink the sweet drinks, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your refuge.”

Then he said to them,“ Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye grieved; for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.

Then he said to them,“ Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your stronghold.”

He said to them,“ Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Then he said to them,“ Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”

The LORD[ is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.The LORD[ is] their strength, and he[ is] the saving strength of his anointed.

A merry heart doeth good[ like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.Behold, God[ is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH[ is] my strength and[ my] song; he also is become my salvation.Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar[ a day of] gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD,[ and] the excellency of our God.Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.Say to them[ that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come[ with] vengeance,[ even] God[ with] a recompence; he will come and save you.

And thou shalt rejoice in every good[ thing] which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that[ is] among you.When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year,[ which is] the year of tithing, and hast given[ it] unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of[ mine] house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten[ them]:

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh[ himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth[ herself] with her jewels.

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

And he laid[ it] upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here[ am] I; send me.

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it[ is] the gift of God.

[ There is] nothing better for a man,[ than] that he should eat and drink, and[ that] he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it[ was] from the hand of God.

I am come into my garden, my sister,[ my] spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

If I have withheld the poor from[ their] desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;( For from my youth he was brought up with me, as[ with] a father, and I have guided her from my mother’s womb;)

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first[ month].

Behold[ that] which I have seen:[ it is] good and comely[ for one] to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it[ is] his portion.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
