The governor, therefore, ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there should be a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.

論到利未，他說：“耶和華啊，願你的土明和烏陵屬於對你忠心的人（原文無“耶和華啊”，但因為代名詞“你”是指耶和華而不是利未，所以按文理補上，以免誤導），就是你在瑪撒試驗過的，在米利巴水邊與他們爭論過的。

亞倫祭司的後裔中，有殘疾的，都不可上前來獻耶和華的火祭；他既有殘疾，就不可上前來獻他的神的食物。他神的食物，無論是至聖的或是聖的，他都可以吃；只因他有殘疾，他就不可進到幔子前，也不可上前到我的祭壇那裡，免得褻瀆我的聖所；我是使他們分別為聖的耶和華。”

烤餅的時候，不可加酵。這是我從獻給我的火祭中，賜給他們的分，是至聖的，與贖罪祭和贖愆祭一樣。

“這贖罪祭是至聖的，耶和華又把祭肉給你們，要叫你們擔當會眾的罪孽，在耶和華面前為他們贖罪，你們為甚麼沒有在聖潔的地方吃呢？這祭牲的血既然沒有帶進聖所裡去，你們就應該照著我所吩咐的，在聖所裡吃這祭肉。”
