The governor, therefore, ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there should be a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.

又要把乌陵和土明放在胸牌里面，亚伦到耶和华面前的时候，要佩带这胸牌，以便明白上帝的旨意，为以色列人做决定。

摩西祝福利未支派说：“耶和华啊，求你把土明和乌陵赐给虔诚的利未人，你曾经在玛撒试验他们，在米利巴泉边与他们争论。

省长吩咐他们，要等到用乌陵和土明求问上帝的祭司出现后，才可以吃至圣之物。

亚伦祭司子孙中有残疾的都不可向耶和华献火祭。他们既然有残疾，就不可近前来献我的食物。他们可以吃我的食物，圣的和至圣的都可以吃。但他们不可走近幔子或祭坛，因为他们有残疾。这样做是为了避免他们亵渎我的圣所。我是使圣所圣洁的耶和华。”

做饼时不可加酵。这些祭物是我从献给我的火祭中赐给他们的，像赎罪祭和赎过祭一样是至圣之物。

“你们为什么不在圣洁之处吃这赎罪祭？这是至圣之物，耶和华赐给你们是要叫你们为会众担罪，在耶和华面前为他们赎罪。既然这祭牲的血没有被带进圣所，你们本应按照我的吩咐在圣洁之处吃这祭肉。”

剩下的素祭要归亚伦及其子孙，这在献给耶和华的火祭中是至圣的。

遇到事情，他要去以利亚撒祭司那里，让祭司借着乌陵为他求问我。他和全体会众或进或出都要听从以利亚撒的指示。”
