我们和他们是同胞，我们的孩子就像他们的孩子。但现在我们的儿女要被迫成为仆婢，甚至我们的女儿有些已经沦为奴婢。我们却无能为力，因为我们的田地和葡萄园已经归别人了。”

我身如人之身、我子如人之子、今使子女為奴、我中已有數女為婢、欲免此而無力、蓋我之田畝葡萄園、為人所有、

我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

我身與同族之身無異、我子女與同族之子女無異、今不得已將子女鬻為奴婢、我女早有為婢者、贖之無力、蓋我田畝葡萄園、已為人所得、

Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”

We belong to the same family lines as the rest of our people. Our children are as good as theirs. But we’ve had to sell them off as slaves. Some of our daughters have already been made slaves. But we can’t do anything about it. That’s because our fields and vineyards now belong to others.”

Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

We belong to the same family as those who are wealthy, and our children are just like theirs. Yet we must sell our children into slavery just to get enough money to live. We have already sold some of our daughters, and we are helpless to do anything about it, for our fields and vineyards are already mortgaged to others.”

We and our children are just like our countrymen and their children, yet we are subjecting our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters are already enslaved, but we are powerless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and indeed we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have been brought into slavery. It is not in our power to redeem them, for other men have our lands and vineyards.”

Some of our daughters have been subjected to slavery, while we are powerless to help, since our fields and vineyards now belong to other people.”

Behold, we bring our sons and our daughters into bondage to be servants, and some of our daughters have been brought into bondage. It is also not in our power to help it, because other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

有个先知门徒的妻子哀求以利沙说：“你的仆人，我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和华是你所知道的。现在有债主来，要带走我的两个孩子给他作奴隶。”

“你的弟兄在你那里若渐渐贫穷，将自己卖给你，你不可叫他像奴仆服事你。他在你那里要像雇工和寄居的，服事你直到禧年。他和他儿女要离开你，一同出去，归回自己的家，回到他祖宗的地业去。因为他们是我的仆人，是我从埃及地领出来的。他们不可被卖为奴仆。不可苛刻管辖他，只要敬畏你的上帝。

岂不是要你把食物分给饥饿的人，将流浪的穷人接到家中，见赤身的给他衣服遮体，而不隐藏自己避开你的骨肉吗？

来，我们把他卖给以实玛利人，不要下手害他，因为他是我们的弟弟，我们的骨肉。”他的兄弟们就听从了他。

拉班对他说：“你实在是我的骨肉。”雅各就和他同住了一个月。

“你在百姓面前所要立的典章是这样：“你若买希伯来人作奴仆，他服事你六年，第七年他可以自由，白白地离去。他若单身来就可以单身去；他若是有妻子的，他的妻子可以同他离去。若他主人给他娶了妻，妻子为他生了儿子或女儿，妻子和儿女要归主人，他要独自离去。倘若奴仆声明：‘我爱我的主人和我的妻子儿女，不愿意自由离去。’他的主人就要带他到审判官前，再带他到门或门框那里，用锥子穿他的耳朵，他就要永远服事主人。“人若卖女儿作婢女，婢女不可像男的奴仆那样离去。主人若选定她归自己，后来看不顺眼，就要允许她赎身；主人既然对她失信，就没有权柄把她卖给外邦人。主人若选定她给自己的儿子，就当照女儿的规矩对待她。若另娶一个，她的饮食、衣服和房事不可减少。若不向她行这三样，她就可以白白离去，不必付赎金。”

因为他没有什么偿还之物，主人下令把他和他妻子儿女，以及一切所有的都卖了来偿还。

我亲爱的弟兄们，请听，上帝岂不是拣选了世上的贫穷人，使他们在信心上富足，并承受他所应许给那些爱他之人的国吗？你们却羞辱贫穷的人。欺压你们，拉你们到公堂去的，不就是这些富有的人吗？
