所以，我親愛的弟兄們，你們務要堅固，不可動搖，常常竭力多做主工，因為你們知道，你們在主裏的勞苦不是徒然的。

因為我沒有別人與我同心，真正關懷你們的事。其他的人都求自己的事，並不求耶穌基督的事。

因為我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話，這是你們知道的，也沒有藏着貪心，這是神可以作證的。我們作為基督的使徒，雖然可以受人尊重，卻沒有向你們或向別人求榮耀，反而在你們當中心存溫柔，如同母親哺乳自己的孩子。

我們行善不可喪志，因為若不灰心，到了適當的時候就有收成。

我未曾貪圖一個人的金、銀或衣服。你們自己知道，我靠兩隻手工作來供給我和同工的需用。我凡事給你們作榜樣，叫你們知道應當這樣勞苦，扶助軟弱的人，又當記念主耶穌的話，說：『施比受更為有福。』」

凡恆心行善，尋求榮耀、尊貴和不能朽壞的，就有永生報償他們；

那落在好土裏的，就是人聽了道，並用純真善良的心持守它，耐心等候結果實。」

摩西非常生氣，就對耶和華說：「求你不要接受他們的供物。我並沒有奪過他們一匹驢，也沒有害過他們中任何一個人。」

罷了，我自己並沒有連累你們，你們卻有人說，我施詭詐，用心計牢籠你們。我所差遣到你們那裏去的人，我何曾藉着他們中的任何人佔過你們的便宜呢？我勸提多到你們那裏去，又差遣那位弟兄與他同去，提多佔過你們的便宜嗎？我們的行事為人不是同一心靈嗎？不是同一步伐嗎？
