“ We will give it back,” they said.“ And we will not demand anything more from them. We will do as you say.” Then I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials take an oath to do what they had promised.

“ We’ll give it back,” they said.“ And we won’t require anything more from them. We’ll do exactly as you say.” Then I sent for the priests. I made the nobles and officials promise to do what they had said.

Then they said,“ We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say.” And I called the priests and made them swear to do as they had promised.

They replied,“ We will give back everything and demand nothing more from the people. We will do as you say.” Then I called the priests and made the nobles and officials swear to do what they had promised.

They responded,“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.

Then they said,“ We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say.” So I called the priests and made them take an oath to act in accordance with this promise.

So they said,“ We will restore it, and will require nothing from them; we will do as you say.” Then I called the priests, and required an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.

以斯拉就起来，叫祭司长和利未人，以及以色列众人起誓，要照这话去做；他们就起了誓。

西底家王与耶路撒冷的众百姓立约，要他们宣告自由，叫各人释放自己的仆人和婢女，使希伯来的男人和女人得自由，谁也不可使他的犹大弟兄作奴仆。这事以后，耶和华的话临到耶利米。

全会众大声回答说：“好！我们必照着你的话去做。

这地的民族若在安息日，或什么圣日，带了货物或粮食来卖，我们必不买。每逢第七年必不耕种，凡欠我们债的必不追讨。

“人若得罪邻舍，有人强迫他，要他起誓，他来到这殿，在你的坛前起誓，求你从天上垂听、处理，向你的仆人施行审判，定恶人有罪，照他所行的报应在他头上；定义人为义，照他的义赏赐他。

撒该站着对主说：“主啊，我把所有的一半给穷人；我若勒索了谁，就还他四倍。”

我就斥责他们，诅咒他们，打了他们几个人，拔下他们的胡须，叫他们指着上帝起誓：“你们不可把自己的女儿嫁给外邦人的儿子，也不可为自己和儿子娶他们的女儿。

凡不寻求耶和华—以色列上帝的，无论大小、男女，必被处死。他们就大声欢呼，吹号吹角，向耶和华起誓。

耶稣说：“你若愿意作完全人，去变卖你所拥有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；然后来跟从我。”那青年听见这话，就忧忧愁愁地走了，因为他的产业很多。

于是带兵器的人将掳来的人口和掠取的财物都留在众领袖和全会众面前。以上提名的那些人就起来，照顾被掳的人；其中凡赤身的，就从所掠取的财物中拿出衣服和鞋来，给他们穿，又给他们吃喝，用膏抹他们；其中凡软弱的，就使他们骑驴，送到棕树城耶利哥他们弟兄那里。然后，他们就回撒玛利亚去了。

耶稣却不言语。大祭司对他说：“我指着永生上帝命令你起誓告诉我们，你是不是基督—上帝的儿子？”

王和犹大众人、耶路撒冷的居民、祭司、先知，以及所有的百姓，无论大小，都一同上到耶和华的殿去；王把耶和华殿里所发现的约书上一切的话读给他们听。王站在柱子旁边，在耶和华面前立约，要尽心尽性跟从耶和华，遵守他的诫命、法度、律例，实行这书上所写这约的话。全体百姓都愿遵守所立的约。

都随从他们贵族的弟兄发咒起誓，要遵行上帝藉他仆人摩西所赐的律法，谨守遵行耶和华—我们主的一切诫命、典章、律例。
