眾人就說：『我們必定要歸還，不再向他們討：你怎麼說，我們就怎麼行好啦。』我就把祭司們召了來，叫眾人起誓，要照所說的這話而行。

“ We will give it back,” they said.“ And we will not demand anything more from them. We will do as you say.” Then I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials take an oath to do what they had promised.

“ We’ll give it back,” they said.“ And we won’t require anything more from them. We’ll do exactly as you say.” Then I sent for the priests. I made the nobles and officials promise to do what they had said.

Then they said,“ We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say.” And I called the priests and made them swear to do as they had promised.

They replied,“ We will give back everything and demand nothing more from the people. We will do as you say.” Then I called the priests and made the nobles and officials swear to do what they had promised.

They responded,“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.

Then they said,“ We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say.” So I called the priests and made them take an oath to act in accordance with this promise.

So they said,“ We will restore it, and will require nothing from them; we will do as you say.” Then I called the priests, and required an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.

Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do, even as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they would do according to this promise.

They responded:“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.

They replied,“ We will return these things, and we will no longer demand anything from them. We will do just as you say.” Then I called the priests and made the wealthy and the officials swear to do what had been promised.

Then they said,“ We will restore them, and will require nothing of them. We will do so, even as you say.” Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they would do according to this promise.

以斯拉便起來，使祭司領袖和利未人跟以色列眾人都起誓要照這話而行。他們就起誓。

西底家王跟耶路撒冷的眾民立了約，要給他們宣告自由，叫各人送他的奴僕和婢女，希伯來男人和女人、自由出去，誰也不可使任何一個猶大的族弟兄做奴僕；（這事以後有話出於永恆主而傳與耶利米；）

全體大眾都大聲回答說：『你怎麼說，我們便怎麼行就是了。

這地別族之民若在安息之日帶了外貨、就是穀子、來賣，我們在安息日或是任何聖日都決不可向他們買。我們一定要放棄第七年的收穫、以及每一個債主的債權。

『人若得罪了鄰舍，有人叫他用一種咒語來起誓，他來到這殿，在你祭壇前起誓；求你從天上垂聽，有所施行，判斷你的僕人，報應無理的人，照他所行的還報在他頭上；定無罪的人有理，照他的理直賞報他。

撒該站着，對主說；主啊，你看，我把我資財的一半給予窮人；若訛詐了誰，就四倍償還。』

我就譴責他們，咒罵他們，擊打了他們幾個人，拔下他們的頭髮，叫他們指着上帝來起誓：我說：『你們決不可將自己的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也決不可為兒子或自己娶他們的女兒。

凡不尋求永恆主以色列之上帝的、無論大小男女、都必被處死。他們就歡呼，吹號筒，吹號角，大聲向永恆主起誓。

耶穌對他說：『你若想要作到完全，就該去變賣你的資財、給予窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』那青年人聽見這話，就憂憂愁愁的走了；因為他有很多的田產。

於是武裝的人將俘虜和掠物都放在首領們和全體大眾面前。以上記名的那些人就站起來，拉着那些俘虜和他們中間所有赤身裸體的人，從掠物中拿出衣服來給他們穿，鞋給他們着，又給他們喫，給他們喝，用油抹了他們；使一切走不動的人騎上了驢，把他們送到棕樹城耶利哥、他們族弟兄身邊，然後回撒瑪利亞去。

耶穌卻不作聲。大祭司對他說：『我指着永活的上帝誓囑你，告訴我們，你是上帝的兒子、上帝所膏立者不是。』

王上永恆主的殿，猶大眾人和耶路撒冷的居民、都跟他一同去；還有祭司和神言人們、以及眾民、無論大小也都去；王就把永恆主殿裏所發現的《約書》裏面一切的話都唸給他們聽。王站在柱旁，在永恆主面前立約，要全心全意地跟從永恆主，謹守他的誡命、法令、律例，來實行這書上所寫這約的話；眾民也都站着承認這約。

都堅持跟着他們的族弟兄貴顯人參加發咒起誓的事、要力行上帝的律法，由上帝的僕人摩西經手所傳授的，要謹守遵行永恆主我們的主的一切誡命典章律例；
