“ We will give it back,” they said.“ And we will not demand anything more from them. We will do as you say.” Then I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials take an oath to do what they had promised.

“ We’ll give it back,” they said.“ And we won’t require anything more from them. We’ll do exactly as you say.” Then I sent for the priests. I made the nobles and officials promise to do what they had said.

Then they said,“ We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say.” And I called the priests and made them swear to do as they had promised.

They replied,“ We will give back everything and demand nothing more from the people. We will do as you say.” Then I called the priests and made the nobles and officials swear to do what they had promised.

They responded,“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.

Then they said,“ We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say.” So I called the priests and made them take an oath to act in accordance with this promise.

So they said,“ We will restore it, and will require nothing from them; we will do as you say.” Then I called the priests, and required an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.

Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do, even as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they would do according to this promise.

They responded:“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.

Then they said,“ We will restore them, and will require nothing of them. We will do so, even as you say.” Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they would do according to this promise.

於是以斯拉起來，使祭司首領、利未人和以色列眾人起誓要照著這話去行；他們就起誓。

西底家王和在耶路撒冷的眾民立了約，要向奴僕宣告自由。人人都要釋放自己的希伯來奴婢；誰也不可使自己的一位猶大兄弟作奴僕。（這事以後，從耶和華那裡有話臨到耶利米。）

全體會眾都大聲回答說：“你怎麼說，我們就怎麼行。

如果這地的外族人帶來貨物或五穀，在安息日販賣，我們在安息日或聖日決不向他們買甚麼；每逢第七年，我們必不耕種田地，並且豁免一切債務。

“人若是得罪了鄰舍，有人要他起誓，他就來到這殿，在你的祭壇前起誓；求你從天上垂聽，施行你的作為，審判你的僕人，照著惡人所行的報應在他頭上；宣告義人無罪，照著他的義行賞賜他。

撒該站著對主說：“主啊，請看，我要把家財的一半分給窮人，我若敲詐了誰，就還他四倍。”

我就責備他們，咒詛他們，擊打他們中間的幾個人，拔下他們的頭髮，叫他們指著神起誓，說：“你們決不可把自己的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也決不可為兒子或為自己娶他們的女兒。

不尋求耶和華以色列的神的，無論男女老幼，都必處死。他們就大聲歡呼，吹起號角，向耶和華起誓。

耶穌對他說：“如果你想要完全，就去變賣你所有的，分給窮人，你就必定有財寶在天上，而且你要來跟從我。”那青年聽見這話，就憂憂愁愁地走了，原來他的財產很多。

於是，軍隊把俘虜和戰利品都留在眾領袖和全體會眾的面前。上面提過的那些人就起來，領走那些俘虜，從戰利品中拿出衣服給所有赤身的穿著，給他們穿上鞋，給他們吃喝，又給他們抹油，又把所有疲弱的人放在驢子上，把他們送回棕樹城耶利哥他們的兄弟那裡，然後就回撒瑪利亞去了。

耶穌卻不作聲。大祭司又對他說：“我指著永生的神要你起誓，告訴我們你是不是基督、神的兒子。”

王登上耶和華的殿，猶大眾人、耶路撒冷所有的居民，還有祭司、先知和眾民，不論大小，都一同前往。王就把在耶和華殿發現的約書所記的一切話都念給他們聽。王站在柱旁，在耶和華面前立約，要一心一意跟從耶和華，謹守他的誡命、典章和律例，實行這書上所寫有關這約的話。眾民都一同立約。

都堅持和他們的貴族兄弟參與發咒起誓，必遵行神藉他僕人摩西頒布的律法，必謹守遵行耶和華我們的主的一切誡命、典章和律例；
