And I have not written these things so that it will be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than that. No one shall make my boast an empty one!For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a commission nonetheless.What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

lends money at interest and takes interest; will he live? He will not live! He has committed all these abominations, he shall certainly be put to death; his blood will be on himself.

He does not lend his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. One who does these things will never be shaken.

and if he does not lend money at interest or take interest, if he keeps his hand from injustice and executes true justice between one person and another,

And he said to them,“ Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.”And soldiers also were questioning him, saying,“ What are we to do, we as well?” And he said to them,“ Do not extort money from anyone, nor harass anyone, and be content with your wages.”
