Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.

但你呢、永恆主啊，你深知道他們要害我到死的一切計謀啊。不要赦除他們的罪孽哦！不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪哦！使他們在你面前被摔倒吧！願你發怒時罰辨他們。

『我，我獨一無二的那位，那為我自己的緣故塗抹了你的過犯的，我的罪我也不再記起了。

上帝啊，按你堅固之愛恩待我！按你豐盛的慈悲塗抹我的過犯哦！

願你在他們的罪罰上加上罪罰；別讓他們不被定罪。願他們從生命冊上被塗抹，不得和義人一同被記錄。

我塗抹了你的過犯、像吹散了密雲，我抹掉了你的罪、像消散了雲霧；回轉歸向我吧！因為我贖回了你。

銅匠亞力山大多多地加害於我；主必照他所行的報應他。

求你掩面、不看我的罪，求你塗抹我一切的罪孽。

萬軍之上帝永恆主啊，惟獨你是以色列的上帝；求你醒起，來察罰列國；不要恩待那些背信行惡的人。（細拉）他們每晚叫號又叫號、如狗，環城繞行。看哪，他們口中噴吐着惡言，他們嘴脣上有刀；自以為有誰聽見呢？但你呢、永恆主啊，你笑話他們；你嗤笑列國。我的力量啊，我要歌頌你；因為上帝啊，你乃是我的高壘。願我的上帝以他的堅愛迎接我；願上帝使我看見窺伺我的、遭報應。不要憐憫他們，恐怕他們忘了；主我們的盾牌啊，求你用你的能力使他們搖蕩無定，降為卑微。願他們因他們口中的罪、和嘴脣上的話、跟他們所發的咒罵和欺騙、而在他們的狂傲中被纏住。求你使怒火將他們滅盡，滅盡到無有，好叫他們知道是上帝在統治雅各、以至地極的。（細拉）

以利亞敬和舍伯那跟約亞對參謀長說：『請用亞蘭語對僕人說話，因為我們聽得來；不要用猶大語對我們說話，以致讓城上的人民曉得聽。』參謀長對他們說：『我主上差遣我來說這些話，豈是單單對你主上和你說的呢？不也是對這些坐在城上、要和你們一同喫自己糞喝自己尿的人說的麼？』
