Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.

Don’t hide your eyes from their guilt. Don’t forgive their sins. They have said bad things about the builders.”

願他祖宗的罪孽被耶和華記念！願他母親的罪過不被塗抹！

耶和華啊，他們要殺我的那一切計謀，你都知道。不要赦免他們的罪孽，也不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪惡，要叫他們在你面前跌倒；願你發怒的時候罰辦他們。

惟有我為自己的緣故塗抹你的過犯；我也不記念你的罪惡。

神啊，求你按你的慈愛憐恤我！按你豐盛的慈悲塗抹我的過犯！

願你在他們的罪上加罪，不容他們在你面前稱義。願他們從生命冊上被塗抹，不得記錄在義人之中。

我塗抹了你的過犯，像厚雲消散；我塗抹了你的罪惡，如薄雲滅沒。你當歸向我，因我救贖了你。

銅匠亞歷山大多多地害我；主必照他所行的報應他。

求你掩面不看我的罪，塗抹我一切的罪孽。

萬軍之神－耶和華以色列的神啊！求你興起，懲治萬邦！不要憐憫行詭詐的惡人！（細拉）他們晚上轉回，叫號如狗，圍城繞行。他們口中噴吐惡言，嘴裏有刀；他們說：有誰聽見？但你－耶和華必笑話他們；你要嗤笑萬邦。我的力量啊，我必仰望你，因為神是我的高臺。我的神要以慈愛迎接我；神要叫我看見我仇敵遭報。不要殺他們，恐怕我的民忘記。主啊，你是我們的盾牌；求你用你的能力使他們四散，且降為卑。因他們口中的罪和嘴裏的言語，並咒罵虛謊的話，願他們在驕傲之中被纏住了。求你發怒，使他們消滅，以致歸於無有，叫他們知道神在雅各中間掌權，直到地極。（細拉）

以利亞敬、舍伯那、約亞對拉伯沙基說：「求你用亞蘭言語和僕人說話，因為我們懂得；不要用猶大言語和我們說話，達到城上百姓的耳中。」拉伯沙基說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城上、要與你們一同吃自己糞喝自己尿的人說嗎？」
