当着他的同僚和撒玛利亚军兵的面说：“这群弱小的犹太人在做什么呢？要重建城墙吗？要献祭吗？要在一日之间建好吗？要用废墟中烧过的石头来建造吗？”

在他的兄弟和撒玛利亚的军队面前，说：“这些软弱的犹大人在作什么呢？想自己修筑城墙吗？想要献祭吗？想要在一天之内完成吗？想要使废土堆中被火烧过的石头复活吗？”

他在他的族弟兄和撒瑪利亞的軍兵面前說：『嘿！這些衰弱憔悴的猶大人要作甚麼？他們要奮不顧身麼？要宰獻祭牲動工麼？要在一天之內就作完麼？他們要從塵土廢堆中拿火燒過的石頭把它重新建造起來麼？』

告其同宗、及撒瑪利亞軍旅曰、此荏弱之猶大人何為、豈欲自衛乎、豈欲獻祭乎、豈能一日成之乎、豈於瓦礫之場、復起被焚之石乎、

and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said,“ What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble— burned as they are?”

He spoke to his friends and the army of Samaria. He said,“ What are those Jews trying to do? Can they make their city wall like new again? Will they offer sacrifices? Can they finish everything in a single day? The stones from their city wall and buildings are piled up like trash. And everything has been badly burned. Can they use those stones to rebuild everything again?”

And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of Samaria,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?”

saying in front of his friends and the Samarian army officers,“ What does this bunch of poor, feeble Jews think they’re doing? Do they think they can build the wall in a single day by just offering a few sacrifices? Do they actually think they can make something of stones from a rubbish heap— and charred ones at that?”

before his colleagues and the powerful men of Samaria and said,“ What are these pathetic Jews doing? Can they restore it by themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they ever finish it? Can they bring these burnt stones back to life from the mounds of rubble?”

And he spoke in the presence of his brothers and the wealthy people of Samaria and said,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Are they going to restore the temple for themselves? Can they offer sacrifices? Can they finish it in a day? Can they revive the stones from the heaps of rubble, even the burned ones?”

And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they complete it in a day? Will they revive the stones from the heaps of rubbish— stones that are burned?”

And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What are these feeble Jews doing? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, seeing they are burned?

He spoke before his brothers and the army of Samaria, and said,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, since they are burned?”

省長利宏、書記伸帥，和同黨的底拿人、亞法薩提迦人、他毗拉人、亞法撒人、亞基衛人、巴比倫人、書珊迦人、底亥人、以攔人，和尊大的亞斯那巴所遷移、安置在撒馬利亞城，並大河西一帶地方的人等，

神卻揀選了世上愚拙的，叫有智慧的羞愧；又揀選了世上軟弱的，叫那強壯的羞愧。

猶大人說：「灰土尚多，扛擡的人力氣已經衰敗，所以我們不能建造城牆。」

耶和華啊，我聽見你的名聲就懼怕。耶和華啊，求你在這些年間復興你的作為，在這些年間顯明出來；在發怒的時候以憐憫為念。

耶路撒冷城牆告成的時候，眾民就把各處的利未人招到耶路撒冷，要稱謝、歌唱、敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴，歡歡喜喜地行告成之禮。

那日，眾人獻大祭而歡樂；因為神使他們大大歡樂，連婦女帶孩童也都歡樂，甚至耶路撒冷中的歡聲聽到遠處。

他對我說：「人子啊，這些骸骨能復活嗎？」我說：「主耶和華啊，你是知道的。」他又對我說：「你向這些骸骨發預言說：枯乾的骸骨啊，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華對這些骸骨如此說：『我必使氣息進入你們裏面，你們就要活了。我必給你們加上筋，使你們長肉，又將皮遮蔽你們，使氣息進入你們裏面，你們就要活了；你們便知道我是耶和華。』」於是，我遵命說預言。正說預言的時候，不料，有響聲，有地震；骨與骨互相聯絡。我觀看，見骸骨上有筋，也長了肉，又有皮遮蔽其上，只是還沒有氣息。主對我說：「人子啊，你要發預言，向風發預言，說主耶和華如此說：氣息啊，要從四方而來，吹在這些被殺的人身上，使他們活了。」於是我遵命說預言，氣息就進入骸骨，骸骨便活了，並且站起來，成為極大的軍隊。主對我說：「人子啊，這些骸骨就是以色列全家。他們說：『我們的骨頭枯乾了，我們的指望失去了，我們滅絕淨盡了。』所以你要發預言對他們說，主耶和華如此說：『我的民哪，我必開你們的墳墓，使你們從墳墓中出來，領你們進入以色列地。我的民哪，我開你們的墳墓，使你們從墳墓中出來，你們就知道我是耶和華。

二人就使非利士的防兵看見。非利士人說：「希伯來人從所藏的洞穴裏出來了！」防兵對約拿單和拿兵器的人說：「你們上到這裏來，我們有一件事指示你們。」約拿單就對拿兵器的人說：「你跟隨我上去，因為耶和華將他們交在以色列人手裏了。」

那日，耶和華必保護耶路撒冷的居民。他們中間軟弱的必如大衛；大衛的家必如神，如行在他們前面之耶和華的使者。

非利士人對大衛說：「你拿杖到我這裏來，我豈是狗呢？」非利士人就指着自己的神咒詛大衛。非利士人又對大衛說：「來吧！我將你的肉給空中的飛鳥、田野的走獸吃。」
