who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other,

The people continued to build the wall. The people who carried supplies did their work with one hand. They held a weapon in the other hand.

who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other.

因為有寬大又有功效的門為我開了，並且反對的人也多。

你要和我同受苦難，好像基督耶穌的精兵。

若別人在你們身上有這權柄，何況我們呢？然而，我們沒有用過這權柄，倒凡事忍受，免得基督的福音被阻隔。

那美好的仗我已經打過了，當跑的路我已經跑盡了，所信的道我已經守住了。

你們務要警醒，在真道上站立得穩，要作大丈夫，要剛強。

凡事不怕敵人的驚嚇，這是證明他們沉淪，你們得救都是出於神。

真實的道理、神的大能；仁義的兵器在左在右；

要穿戴神所賜的全副軍裝，就能抵擋魔鬼的詭計。因我們並不是與屬血氣的爭戰，乃是與那些執政的、掌權的、管轄這幽暗世界的，以及天空屬靈氣的惡魔爭戰。所以，要拿起神所賜的全副軍裝，好在磨難的日子抵擋仇敵，並且成就了一切，還能站立得住。所以要站穩了，用真理當作帶子束腰，用公義當作護心鏡遮胸，又用平安的福音當作預備走路的鞋穿在腳上。此外，又拿着信德當作盾牌，可以滅盡那惡者一切的火箭；並戴上救恩的頭盔，拿着聖靈的寶劍，就是神的道；靠着聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求；並要在此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求，也為我祈求，使我得着口才，能以放膽開口講明福音的奧祕，（我為這福音的奧祕作了帶鎖鍊的使者，）並使我照着當盡的本分放膽講論。

你當知道，當明白，從出令重新建造耶路撒冷，直到有受膏君的時候，必有七個七和六十二個七。正在艱難的時候，耶路撒冷城連街帶濠都必重新建造。
