Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows.

你们要配上神的全副武装，使你们得以站立，对付魔鬼的骗局，因为我们不是与血肉之体搏斗，而是与那些统治的、掌权的、管辖这黑暗世界的，以及天上邪恶的属灵势力搏斗。为此，要拿起神的全副武装，好使你们在邪恶的日子能够抵挡，并且在完成一切以后，还站立得住。所以，你们要站立得住：用真理束上腰，穿上公义的护胸甲；把所预备好的和平福音，穿在脚上；在任何情况下，要拿起信仰的盾牌；你们藉着它就能消灭那恶者一切燃烧的飞箭；并且要接受救恩的头盔和圣灵的宝剑——就是神的话语。你们要以各样的祷告和祈求，藉着圣灵时刻祈祷；而且为此警醒，以极大的忍耐，为所有圣徒祈求，也为我祈求，好使我在开口的时候被赐予话语，能坦然无惧地让人明白福音的奥秘——为此，我成了带锁链的特使。请为我祈求，使我能照着应该说的，放胆传道。

恩待人、借予人的，是有福之人，他秉公办事；

“看哪，我差派你们出去，就像把羊送进狼群中，所以你们要像蛇那样聪明，像鸽子那样纯洁。

弟兄们，你们在思想上不要做小孩子，但是在恶事上要做婴孩，在思想上要做成熟的人。

那天晚上，雅各就在那里过夜。他从自己所拥有的东西中，选出给哥哥以扫的礼物：母山羊两百只，公山羊二十只，母绵羊两百只，公绵羊二十只，哺乳的骆驼三十只和它们的幼崽，母牛四十头，公牛十头，母驴二十匹，公驴十匹；分成一群一群的，交在仆人们手中，对他们说：“你们要在我前面先过去，使群和群之间保持一段距离。”他吩咐领头的仆人说：“我哥哥以扫遇见你的时候，如果问你：‘你的主人是谁？你要到哪里去？在你前面的这些牲畜是谁的？’你就回答：‘是你仆人雅各的，是送给我主以扫的礼物。看哪，他自己也在我们后面。’”他又吩咐第二个、第三个和所有跟在各群后面的仆人说：“你们遇见以扫的时候，也要这样对他说，并强调说：‘看哪，你的仆人雅各在我们后面。’”因为雅各想：“我先藉着在我前面先送去的礼物与他和解，然后再与他见面，或许他会接纳我。”
