Then I directed the Levites to purify themselves and come and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. For this please remember me, O my God, and have pity on me in keeping with your great love.

Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and go and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this also, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love.

I commanded the Levites to make themselves pure. Then I told them to go and guard the gates. I wanted the Sabbath day to be kept holy. You are my God. Remember me because of the good things I’ve done. Be kind to me according to your great love.

Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should go and guard the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy!

And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember unto me, O my God, this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy lovingkindness.

Then I instructed the Levites to purify themselves and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this also, my God, and look on me with compassion in keeping with Your abundant, faithful love.

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and[ that] they should come[ and] keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God,[ concerning] this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

When the priests and Levites had purified themselves, they purified the people, the gates, and the wall.

Please remember me for this, O my God, and do not wipe out the kindness that I have done for the temple of my God and for its services!

I also provided for the wood offering at the appointed times and also for the first fruits. Please remember me for good, O my God.

King Hezekiah and the officials told the Levites to praise the LORD, using the psalms of David and Asaph the prophet. So they joyfully offered praise and bowed down and worshiped.

The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

“ Please, LORD. Remember how I have served you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion, and how I have carried out your will.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.

O LORD, hear my prayer! Pay attention to my plea for help! Because of your faithfulness and justice, answer me!Do not sit in judgment on your servant, for no one alive is innocent before you.

If you, O LORD, were to keep track of sins, O Lord, who could stand before you?But you are willing to forgive, so that you might be honored.

O Israel, hope in the LORD, for the LORD exhibits loyal love, and is more than willing to deliver.

O LORD, for David’s sake remember all his strenuous effort,and how he made a vow to the LORD, and swore an oath to the powerful ruler of Jacob.He said,“ I will not enter my own home, or get into my bed.I will not allow my eyes to sleep, or my eyelids to slumber,until I find a place for the LORD, a fine dwelling place for the powerful ruler of Jacob.”

Remember your compassionate and faithful deeds, O LORD, for you have always acted in this manner.Do not hold against me the sins of my youth or my rebellious acts! Because you are faithful to me, extend to me your favor, O LORD!

Kings will be your children’s guardians; their princesses will nurse your children. With their faces to the ground they will bow down to you and they will lick the dirt on your feet. Then you will recognize that I am the LORD; those who wait patiently for me are not put to shame.

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your loyal love! Because of your great compassion, wipe away my rebellious acts!

The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the high-ranking priests, and the guards to bring out of the LORD’s temple all the items that were used in the worship of Baal, Asherah, and all the stars of the sky. The king burned them outside of Jerusalem in the terraces of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

But as for me, because of your great faithfulness I will enter your house; I will bow down toward your holy temple as I worship you.

They searched for their records in the genealogical materials, but none were found. They were therefore excluded from the priesthood.The governor instructed them not to eat any of the sacred food until there was a priest who could consult the Urim and Thummim.

Please remember me for good, O my God, for all that I have done for this people.

I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!Finally the crown of righteousness is reserved for me. The Lord, the righteous Judge, will award it to me in that day– and not to me only, but also to all who have set their affection on his appearing.

Then the priests slaughtered them. They offered their blood as a sin offering on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had decreed that the burnt sacrifice and sin offering were for all Israel.

Hezekiah ordered the burnt sacrifice to be offered on the altar. As they began to offer the sacrifice, they also began to sing to the LORD, accompanied by the trumpets and the musical instruments of King David of Israel.

For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God– not by human wisdom but by the grace of God– we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.

He told them:“ You are the leaders of the Levites’ families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves and bring the ark of the LORD God of Israel up to the place I have prepared for it.The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”The priests and Levites consecrated themselves so they could bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.

He brought in the priests and Levites and assembled them in the square on the east side.He said to them:“ Listen to me, you Levites! Now consecrate yourselves, so you can consecrate the temple of the LORD God of your ancestors! Remove from the sanctuary what is ceremonially unclean!

Be careful to observe the Sabbath day just as the LORD your God has commanded you.
