昔爾列祖、豈非行是、致我上帝降諸災於我儕、及斯邑乎、爾今又犯安息、使怒及於以色列、尤有甚焉、

昔我列祖行是、上帝降災、罰及我身、殲滅斯邑、爾又犯之、貽禍於以色列族、尤有甚焉。

Didn’t your ancestors do the same things, so that our God brought all this calamity on us and on this city? Now you are stirring up more wrath against Israel by desecrating the Sabbath.”

Your people of long ago did the very same things. That’s why our God has brought all this trouble on us. That’s why he’s making this city suffer so much. Now you are making him even angrier against Israel. You are misusing the Sabbath day.”

Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

“ Wasn’t it just this sort of thing that your ancestors did that caused our God to bring all this trouble upon us and our city? Now you are bringing even more wrath upon Israel by permitting the Sabbath to be desecrated in this way!”

Didn’t your ancestors do the same, so that our God brought all this disaster on us and on this city? And now you are rekindling his anger against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!”

Did your fathers not do the same, so that our God brought on us and on this city all this trouble? Yet you are adding to the wrath against Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

主如是云、爾當謹恪、安息日勿負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、勿於安息日荷物出爾室、亦勿操作、守安息日為聖日、遵我所諭爾祖之命、爾祖不遵命、不傾耳以聽、強項不聽、不承教誨、

我天主歟、我因惡行大罪、遭遇此事之後、我天主仍惜我、雖罰我、猶不及我罪、雖罰我猶不及我罪或作不按我重罪而罰我賜我如斯之拯救、我儕豈可復違主命、與行此可憎事之諸族通嫁娶、苟如是行、必干主震怒、滅我淨盡、不遺一人得免、主以色列之天主至仁慈、使我所餘之人得免、有如今日之事、我反於主前復犯罪愆、因此不敢立於主前、

至此爾猶不聽我、我必因爾罪愆、譴責爾至於七倍、

敵又褫爾衣裳、攘爾華飾、

昔崇拜毘珥、其罪豈小乎、主之會眾、雖已為此遭疫癘、我儕至今猶未盡脫之、今日爾曹又離棄主乎、今日爾曹叛逆主、恐明日主怒以色列會眾、

爾列祖之惡事、猶大列王之惡事、其后妃之惡事、爾曹之惡事、及爾妻之惡事、在猶大地、在耶路撒冷街衢所作者、爾豈忘之乎、

當其幼年尚為處子時、在伊及行淫、人與其同寢、撫捫其乳、玷污其身、斯其淫行仍然不舍、

我必震怒、依爾逆行待爾、因爾罪愆、譴責爾至於七倍、

主曰、毋效爾之列祖、昔日之眾先知曾告之曰、萬有之主如是云、爾當悔改、勿行惡道、勿作惡事、勿行惡道勿作惡事或作離爾惡道惡行彼不聽、不順我、此乃主所言、爾之列祖安在、眾先知豈得永存、但我言我命、我所諭我僕眾先知者、豈不悉臨及爾祖乎、彼遂悛悔、自謂自謂或作曰萬有之主已擬定、擬定或作立志循我道途道途或作動作行為、施報我身、已若是行於我矣、○

今爾曹一類作孽者興、繼爾先人犯罪、使主怒以色列人更甚、

如爾不聽我、不守安息日為聖日、仍於安息日負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、則我必使火焚耶路撒冷之諸門、並燬其宮殿、不得撲滅、原文作我必燃火在其諸門焚燬耶路撒冷之宮殿不得撲滅

因爾之惡行、因爾所作可憎之事、主不能復容忍、故使爾土地荒蕪、令人驚駭、受咒詛、無人居處、有如今日之景象、
