Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing[ is] this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

我就斥責猶大的貴族，對他們說：「你們怎麼會做這惡事干犯安息日呢！

我就斥責猶大的貴族，對他們說：「你們怎麼會做這惡事干犯安息日呢！

我斥責猶大的貴族說：「你們為何做這惡事干犯安息日？

於是我責備猶大的貴族，對他們說：“你們怎麼行這惡事，褻瀆安息日呢？

我就譴責猶大顯貴的人，對他們說：『你們行的這壞事到底是甚麼事，竟瀆犯這安息之日啊？

我斥責猶大顯者曰、爾奚行此惡、以犯安息日、

我責猶大世職曰、爾奚犯安息日、多行不義。

我斥責猶大諸顯者、謂之曰、爾行不法、犯安息日何耶、

I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this wicked thing you are doing— desecrating the Sabbath day?

I gave a warning to the nobles of Judah. I said,“ Why are you doing such an evil thing? You are misusing the Sabbath day!

Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?

So I confronted the nobles of Judah.“ Why are you profaning the Sabbath in this evil way?” I asked.

I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil you are doing— profaning the Sabbath day?

Then I reprimanded the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, by profaning the Sabbath day?

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them,“ What evil thing is this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath day?

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them:“ What is this evil you are doing— profaning the Sabbath day?

So I registered a complaint with the nobles of Judah, saying to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them,“ What evil thing is this that you do, and profane the Sabbath day?

Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God,[ saying], Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel;[ Is it] not for you to know judgment?

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD,[ and] the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke,[ and] burst the bonds.

And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou[ art] Gilead unto me,[ and] the head of Lebanon:[ yet] surely I will make thee a wilderness,[ and] cities[ which] are not inhabited.And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast[ them] into the fire.And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him:[ but] weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong;[ that] useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and[ it is] cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.Shalt thou reign, because thou closest[ thyself] in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice,[ and] then[ it was] well with him?He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then[ it was] well[ with him: was] not this to know me? saith the LORD.But thine eyes and thine heart[ are] not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do[ it].Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him,[ saying], Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him,[ saying], Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.I spake unto thee in thy prosperity;[ but] thou saidst, I will not hear. This[ hath been] thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down,[ even] the crown of your glory.

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
