At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

At that time some men were put in charge of the storerooms. That’s where all the gifts the people brought were placed. Those gifts included the first shares of their crops. They also included a tenth of everything the Law required. Crops were harvested from the fields around the towns. The people had to bring the shares of those crops that were required by the Law. They gave them to the priests and Levites. That’s because the people of Judah were pleased with the priests and Levites who were serving God.

On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

並要將我們初熟的粗麥麵和舉獻物、各樣樹的果子、新酒、新油、奉給祭司，交在我們的上帝之殿的貯藏室裏、也要將我們地土上所出產的十分之一奉給利未人，因為是他們利未人在我們耕種的一切鄉鎮收取着十分之一獻物的。利未人收取十分之一獻物時、亞倫的子孫中要有一個祭司同利未人在一起；利未人也要將這些十分之一獻物的十分之一奉上去到我們的上帝的殿，交在庫房的貯藏室裏。因為以色列人和利未人的子孫要將五穀、新酒、新油、的提獻物奉到貯藏室裏、就是收存聖所器皿的地方、就是供職的祭司、守門的、歌唱的、所住的地方。我們決不將我們的上帝的殿棄而不顧。

聽我的人有福啊！這等人天天在我門口仰望着，在我門框邊守候着。

拉但的子孫裏、革順族人的拉但子孫裏、做拉但父系族長的革順族人、是耶希伊利。耶希伊利的兒子西坦和他的兄弟約珥、管理永恆主之殿的府庫。暗蘭族人、以斯哈族人、希伯倫族人、烏泄族人、也各有職守。摩西的孫子革舜的兒子書巴業做府庫總長。還有他的兄弟以利以謝；以利以謝的兒子利哈比雅，利哈比雅的兒子耶篩亞，耶篩亞的兒子約蘭，約蘭的兒子細基利，細基利的兒子示羅密；這示羅密和他的弟兄管理分別為聖之物的一切府庫、就是大衛王和眾父系族長、千夫長、百夫長、軍長所分別為聖之物。

『關於利未人的職守是這樣：從二十五歲和以上的、他們要進來、在會棚的事務上從事服役；從五十歲起、他們就要停止服役的事務，不再辦事，

這四個看門主任都是利未人。他們是受託經常上班看守上帝之殿的貯藏室和府庫。

當祭司從聖的所在出來的時候（當時在那裏所有的祭司都已潔淨自己為聖，並沒有守着平常的班次；那些歌唱的利未人、亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓，跟他們的兒子和族弟兄、全都穿着細麻布的衣服，站在祭壇東邊，拿着響鈸琴瑟；同他們在一起的有一百二十個吹號筒的祭司；

這事以前、祭司以利亞實、受派於我們的上帝之殿的貯藏室作事的、因為和多比雅很接近，便為多比雅豫備了一間大廂房：就是以前在那裏收存着素祭品、乳香、器皿、和五穀、新酒、新油等的十分之一、做利未人、歌唱者、守門者、應得的分兒和歸祭司的提獻物的。

你要派亞倫和他的兒子們；他們要謹守他們的祭司職任；走近前來非祭司的平常人必被處死。』

或是擔任執事，就該用在執事上；或是教導的，就該用在教導上；

但那等候永恆主的、必從新得力；他們必如鷹展翅上騰；他們奔跑，也不困倦，他們行走，也不疲乏。

他們每天早晚向永恆主燻燔祭，燒芳料作的香，在淨金的桌子上擺陳設餅；又有金燈臺和燈盞，每天晚上要點起來；因為我們守盡了永恆主我們的上帝所交付的職守；惟獨你們卻離棄了他。你看，是上帝在頭裏率領我們，和我們同在，他的祭司也拿着號筒大聲吹來攻擊你們。以色列人哪，不要同永恆主你們列祖的上帝交戰哦；因為你們是絕不能成功的。』

『但是他們的職任是做亞倫子孫的助手來辦理永恆主之殿的事務；無論是在院子裏、是在貯藏室裏、或是在潔淨一切聖物的事情上、來辦上帝之殿的事務；
