再上到欣嫩子谷，到达耶布斯南面的山坡，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷；又上到欣嫩子谷西边的山顶，就是在利乏音的北端；

因此，耶路撒冷王亚多尼．洗德派人到希伯仑王何咸、耶末王毗兰、拉吉王雅非亚和伊矶伦王底璧那里去，对他们说：

玛利沙的居民哪！我要再使那征服你的来到你那里；以色列的荣耀，必去到亚杜兰。

又下到欣嫩子谷前面的山边，就是利乏音谷北面的山；再下到欣嫩谷，去到耶布斯人的南边，又下去隐．罗结；

他们在欣嫩子谷中，建造了巴力的邱坛，使自己的儿女经火献给摩洛。这不是我吩咐的，也没有在我心里想过；他们竟行了这可憎恶的事，使犹大犯罪。’

因此，看哪！日子快到，这地方必不再称为陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，而要称为杀戮谷。’这是耶和华的宣告。

他又污秽在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不许人在那里将儿女焚烧献给摩洛（“将儿女焚烧献给摩洛”直译是“使儿女经过进入火中给摩洛”）。

哈嫩和撒挪亚城的居民修筑谷门。他们重建那门，装上门扇、门插和门闩；又修筑城墙四百四十公尺，直至粪门。

出到欣嫩子谷，哈珥西（“哈珥西”意即“瓦片”）门的入口，在那里你要宣告我将对你说的话。

一个是立拿王，一个是亚杜兰王，

“他们在欣嫩子谷中，建造了陀斐特的邱坛，用火焚烧自己的儿女；这不是我吩咐的，我也没有在心里想过。因此，看哪！日子快到，人必不再称这地方为陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，却要称它为‘杀戮谷’；人必在陀斐特埋葬尸体，甚至无处可容。”这是耶和华的宣告。

拉伯沙基回去的时候，正遇见亚述王攻打立拿；原来他早已听闻亚述王拔营离开了拉吉。
