Shabbethai and Jozabad, two of the heads of the Levites, who had charge of the outside work of the house of God;

There were also Shabbethai and Jozabad. They were two of the leaders of the Levites. They were in charge of the work that was done outside God’s house.

Shabbethai and Jozabad, leaders of the Levites, were in charge of the external work for the temple of God;

From the Levites, Ahijah was in charge of the treasuries of God’s temple and the treasuries of what had been dedicated.

On the fourth day the silver, the gold, and the articles were weighed out in the house of our God into the care of the priest Meremoth son of Uriah. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him. The Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui were also with them.

Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah, who were Levites, explained the law to the people as they stood in their places.

From the Izrahites: Chenaniah and his sons had duties outside the temple as officers and judges over Israel.

The Twelve summoned the whole company of the disciples and said,“ It would not be right for us to give up preaching the word of God to wait on tables.Brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty.
