Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem. The rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten of them to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the remaining nine were to stay in their own towns.

他们被称为圣城的人，又倚靠以色列的神；他的名字是万军之耶和华。

锡安哪！你要醒来；醒来，披上你的力量。圣城耶路撒冷啊！要穿上你华美的衣服。因为未受割礼的和不洁净的人，都再不得进到你那里去。

随后，魔鬼带耶稣进了圣城，使他站在殿的最高处，

从坟墓里出来；到了耶稣复活之后，他们进到圣城向许多人显现。

他们无论大小，都按着他们的家族抽签，看守各门。

就祷告说：“主啊！你知道万人的心，求你从这两个人中，指明你要拣选谁，

约书亚就在示罗，在耶和华面前为他们抽签；约书亚在那里按着他们的支派把地分给以色列人。

城既宽阔又广大，但城中的居民稀少；房屋还没有建造起来。我的神使我的心定意，召集贵族、官长和人民，要照家谱登记。我找到头一次上来的人的家谱，我找到的家谱上面写着：

因为在那里设有审判的宝座，就是大卫家的宝座。

“在你的城里如果有什么争讼的事：或是流血，或是诉讼，或是殴打，是你很难处决的案件，你就要起来，上到耶和华你的神选择的地方，去见利未支派的祭司和当时的审判官，询问他们，他们就必指示你们怎样判断这案件。

现在我们要这样对待基比亚人：我们要照着所抽的签上去攻打他们。我们要从以色列各支派中，每百人抽取十人，每千人抽取百人，每万人抽取千人，好为人民运送粮食；等他们到了便雅悯的基比亚的时候，就可以照着他们在以色列中所行的一切羞耻的事惩罚他们。”

签抛在人的怀中，一切决断却在于耶和华。
