“ We will also bring the first part of the meal we grind. We’ll bring the first of our grain offerings. We’ll bring the first share of fruit from all our trees. And we’ll bring the first share of our olive oil and fresh wine. We’ll give all those things to the priests. They’ll put them in the storerooms of the house of our God. And we’ll give a tenth of our crops to the Levites. They collect the tenth shares. They do it in all the towns where we work.

and to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor.

We will store the produce in the storerooms of the Temple of our God. We will bring the best of our flour and other grain offerings, the best of our fruit, and the best of our new wine and olive oil. And we promise to bring to the Levites a tenth of everything our land produces, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our rural towns.

From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits to the Lord.

“ I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting.

“ Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.“ But you ask,‘ How are we robbing you?’“ In tithes and offerings.

The people of Israel and Judah who lived in the towns of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things dedicated to the Lord their God, and they piled them in heaps.

Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the Lord. That is why I said concerning them:‘ They will have no inheritance among the Israelites.’”The Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the Levites and say to them:‘ When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the Lord’s offering.Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the threshing floor or juice from the winepress.In this way you also will present an offering to the Lord from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites. From these tithes you must give the Lord’s portion to Aaron the priest.You must present as the Lord’s portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you.’“ Say to the Levites:‘ When you present the best part, it will be reckoned to you as the product of the threshing floor or the winepress.You and your households may eat the rest of it anywhere, for it is your wages for your work at the tent of meeting.By presenting the best part of it you will not be guilty in this matter; then you will not defile the holy offerings of the Israelites, and you will not die.’”

“‘ A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it.Every tithe of the herd and flock— every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod— will be holy to the Lord.No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.’”

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty,“ and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Hezekiah gave orders to prepare storerooms in the temple of the Lord, and this was done.Then they faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes and dedicated gifts. Konaniah, a Levite, was the overseer in charge of these things, and his brother Shimei was next in rank.

and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the Lord.Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.
