and to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor.

新麥之屑、與舉祭、諸樹之菓、及酒油、納諸祭司、貯於我上帝室之府庫、取田所產、什一以奉利未人、蓋利未人於我所居諸邑、得其物產之什一、

新麥為屑、與當獻禮物、初稔之果、新製之油、始熟之酒、納祭司、貯諸殿室、邑外郊圻、田中所產、取其什一、以奉利未人。

又循律法書所載者、將我初胎之男子、與首生之牲畜、及首生之牛羊、奉於我天主殿、給在我天主殿中供役事之祭司、

“ Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and olive oil. And we will bring a tithe of our crops to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work.

“ We will also bring the first part of the meal we grind. We’ll bring the first of our grain offerings. We’ll bring the first share of fruit from all our trees. And we’ll bring the first share of our olive oil and fresh wine. We’ll give all those things to the priests. They’ll put them in the storerooms of the house of our God. And we’ll give a tenth of our crops to the Levites. They collect the tenth shares. They do it in all the towns where we work.

We will store the produce in the storerooms of the Temple of our God. We will bring the best of our flour and other grain offerings, the best of our fruit, and the best of our new wine and olive oil. And we promise to bring to the Levites a tenth of everything our land produces, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our rural towns.

We will bring a loaf from our first batch of dough to the priests at the storerooms of the house of our God. We will also bring the firstfruits of our grain offerings, of every fruit tree, and of the new wine and fresh oil. A tenth of our land’s produce belongs to the Levites, for the Levites are to collect the one-tenth offering in all our agricultural towns.

You shall bring from your dwelling places two loaves of bread to be waved, made of two tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour, and they shall be baked with leaven, as firstfruits to the Lord.

“ To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting,

prepared for Tobiah a large chamber where they had previously put the grain offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.

The firstfruits of your grain, of your wine and of your oil, and the first fleece of your sheep, you shall give him.

Then I gave orders, and they cleansed the chambers, and I brought back there the vessels of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.

All the best of the oil and all the best of the wine and of the grain, the firstfruits of what they give to the Lord, I give to you.The first ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to the Lord, shall be yours. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat it.

He also built a structure against the wall of the house, running around the walls of the house, both the nave and the inner sanctuary. And he made side chambers all around.The lowest story was five cubits broad, the middle one was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad. For around the outside of the house he made offsets on the wall in order that the supporting beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.When the house was built, it was with stone prepared at the quarry, so that neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was being built.The entrance for the lowest story was on the south side of the house, and one went up by stairs to the middle story, and from the middle story to the third.So he built the house and finished it, and he made the ceiling of the house of beams and planks of cedar.He built the structure against the whole house, five cubits high, and it was joined to the house with timbers of cedar.

you shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and you shall put it in a basket, and you shall go to the place that the Lord your God will choose, to make his name to dwell there.

Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say,‘ How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.

And the people of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of the dedicated things that had been dedicated to the Lord their God, and laid them in heaps.

For the tithe of the people of Israel, which they present as a contribution to the Lord, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said of them that they shall have no inheritance among the people of Israel.”And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Moreover, you shall speak and say to the Levites,‘ When you take from the people of Israel the tithe that I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present a contribution from it to the Lord, a tithe of the tithe.And your contribution shall be counted to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.So you shall also present a contribution to the Lord from all your tithes, which you receive from the people of Israel. And from it you shall give the Lord’s contribution to Aaron the priest.Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the Lord; from each its best part is to be dedicated.’Therefore you shall say to them,‘ When you have offered from it the best of it, then the rest shall be counted to the Levites as produce of the threshing floor, and as produce of the winepress.And you may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is your reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting.And you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have contributed the best of it. But you shall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, lest you die.’”

“ Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it.And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the Lord.One shall not differentiate between good or bad, neither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord, and they prepared them.And they faithfully brought in the contributions, the tithes, and the dedicated things. The chief officer in charge of them was Conaniah the Levite, with Shimei his brother as second,

and when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the Lord.Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it.Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the Lord as a contribution throughout your generations.
