It will pay for the holy bread that is placed on the table in the temple. It will pay for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings. It will pay for the offerings on the Sabbath days. It will pay for the offerings at the New Moon feasts and at the appointed feasts. It will pay for the holy offerings. It will be used for sin offerings to pay for the sins of Israel. It will also pay for everything else that needs to be done at the house of our God.

It will provide for everything necessary for the work of the Temple of our God.

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要吩咐以色列人說：『你們要按時把我的供物，就是獻給我作馨香火祭的食物，獻給我。』要對他們說：『這是當獻給耶和華的火祭：每天兩隻沒有殘疾一歲的小公羊，作為經常獻的燔祭。早晨獻第一隻小公羊，黃昏獻第二隻小公羊；又用十分之一伊法細麵和四分之一欣搗成的油，調和作為素祭。這是在西奈山上規定為經常獻的燔祭，是獻給耶和華為馨香的火祭。為每隻小公羊，要有四分之一欣的澆酒祭；在聖所中，你要將醇酒獻給耶和華作澆酒祭。黃昏你獻第二隻小公羊，要照早晨的素祭和同獻的澆酒祭獻上，作為馨香的火祭，獻給耶和華。』」「在安息日，要獻兩隻沒有殘疾，一歲的小公羊、十分之二伊法調了油的細麵為素祭，和同獻的澆酒祭。除了經常獻的燔祭和同獻的澆酒祭之外，這是每一個安息日當獻的燔祭。」「每月初一，要將兩頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊、七隻沒有殘疾一歲的小公羊，獻給耶和華為燔祭。為每頭公牛，要用十分之三伊法調了油的細麵作為素祭；為那隻公綿羊，要用十分之二伊法調了油的細麵作為素祭；為每隻小公羊，要用十分之一伊法調了油的細麵作為素祭。這是馨香的燔祭，是獻給耶和華的火祭。每頭公牛要有半欣的澆酒祭，每隻公綿羊三分之一欣的澆酒祭，每隻小公羊四分之一欣的澆酒祭。這是一年之中每月初一當獻的燔祭。除了經常獻的燔祭和同獻的澆酒祭之外，又要將一隻公山羊，獻給耶和華為贖罪祭。」「正月十四日是向耶和華守的逾越節。這月十五日是節期，要吃無酵餅七日。第一日要有聖會，任何勞動的工都不可做。要把火祭，就是兩頭公牛犢，一隻公綿羊、七隻一歲的小公羊，都要沒有殘疾的，獻給耶和華為燔祭。要同時獻調了油的細麵為素祭：每頭公牛要獻十分之三伊法；每隻公綿羊要獻十分之二伊法；為那七隻小公羊，每隻要獻十分之一伊法。此外，要獻一隻公山羊作贖罪祭，為你們贖罪。除了早晨經常獻的燔祭之外，你們也要獻這些祭。一連七天，在經常獻的燔祭和同獻的澆酒祭之外，每天要這樣把馨香火祭的食物獻給耶和華。第七日要有聖會，任何勞動的工都不可做。」「七七初熟節，就是你們獻初熟穀物給耶和華為素祭的那一天，要宣告聖會；任何勞動的工都不可做。要將兩頭公牛犢，一隻公綿羊，七隻一歲的小公羊，作為馨香的燔祭獻給耶和華。要同時獻調了油的細麵為素祭：每頭公牛要獻十分之三伊法；每隻公綿羊要獻十分之二伊法；為那七隻小公羊，每隻要獻十分之一伊法。

「你要取細麵，烤成十二個餅，每個用十分之二伊法。要把餅排成兩行，每行六個，供在耶和華面前的純金桌子上。

就召集祭司和利未人，吩咐他們說：「你們要往猶大各城去，向以色列眾人徵收銀子，按每年的需要整修你們上帝的殿；你們要急速辦理這事。」但利未人沒有急速辦理。王召了耶何耶大祭司長來，對他說：「從前耶和華的僕人摩西，為法櫃的帳幕與以色列會眾所定的捐獻，你為何不叫利未人照這例向猶大和耶路撒冷徵收呢？」因為那惡婦亞她利雅的兒子們曾拆毀上帝的殿，又用耶和華殿中分別為聖的物供奉諸巴力。於是王下令造一個櫃子，放在耶和華殿的門外，又通告猶大和耶路撒冷，要將上帝僕人摩西在曠野所吩咐以色列的捐獻送來給耶和華。眾領袖和百姓都歡歡喜喜帶捐獻來，投入櫃中，直到投滿。利未人見銀子多了，把櫃子抬到王所派的官長面前；這時王的書記和祭司長的助手就會來把櫃子倒空，然後放回原處。日日都是這樣做，積蓄的銀子很多。王與耶何耶大把銀子交給耶和華殿裏辦事的人，他們就雇了石匠、木匠重修耶和華的殿，又雇了鐵匠、銅匠整修耶和華的殿。工人做工，修理工程在他們手中漸漸完成，他們將上帝的殿修理得如同從前一樣，非常堅固。他們做完了，就把多餘的銀子拿到王與耶何耶大面前，用以製造耶和華殿供奉所用的器皿和調羹，以及金銀的器皿。耶何耶大在世的日子，眾人經常在耶和華殿裏獻燔祭。

所有的祭司天天站着事奉上帝，屢次獻上一樣的祭物，這祭物永不能除罪。
