耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你数点以色列人，计算人头时，被数的每一个人要把他生命的赎价献给耶和华，免得灾殃在数点中临到他们。每一个被数的人要按照圣所的舍客勒，付半舍客勒，一舍客勒是二十季拉；这半舍客勒是献给耶和华的礼物。每一个被数的人，就是二十岁以上的，要将这礼物献给耶和华。富有的不必多付，贫穷的也不可少出，各人都要献半舍客勒给耶和华，作你们生命的赎价。你要向以色列人收这赎罪的银子，用在会幕的事工。这要在耶和华面前为以色列人作纪念，作你们生命的赎价。”

你要以财物和一切初熟的土产尊崇耶和华，

因为人只要有愿做的心，必照他所有的蒙悦纳，并不是照他所没有的。

我所立为柱子的这块石头必作上帝的殿；凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。”
