Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.

At that time Hanani came from Judah with some other men. He was one of my brothers. I asked him and the other men about the Jews who were left alive in Judah. They had returned from Babylon. I also asked him about Jerusalem.

甚至那進入埃及地寄居的，就是所剩下的猶大人，都不得逃脫，也不得存留歸回猶大地。他們心中甚想歸回居住之地；除了逃脫的以外，一個都不能歸回。」 (cunpt)

現在耶和華－我們的神暫且施恩與我們，給我們留些逃脫的人，使我們安穩如釘子釘在他的聖所，我們的神好光照我們的眼目，使我們在受轄制之中稍微復興。我們是奴僕，然而在受轄制之中，我們的神仍沒有丟棄我們，在波斯王眼前向我們施恩，叫我們復興，能重建我們神的殿，修其毀壞之處，使我們在猶大和耶路撒冷有牆垣。 (cunpt)

那日逃脫的人豈不來到你這裏，使你耳聞這事嗎？你必向逃脫的人開口說話，不再啞口。你必這樣為他們作預兆，他們就知道我是耶和華。」 (cunpt)

你們要為耶路撒冷求平安！耶路撒冷啊，愛你的人必然興旺！願你城中平安！願你宮內興旺！因我弟兄和同伴的緣故，我要說：願平安在你中間！因耶和華－我們神殿的緣故，我要為你求福！ (cunpt)

那脫離刀劍的人必在所擄到的各國中記念我，為他們心中何等傷破，是因他們起淫心，遠離我，眼對偶像行邪淫。他們因行一切可憎的惡事，必厭惡自己。 (cunpt)

其中所逃脫的就必逃脫，各人因自己的罪孽在山上發出悲聲，好像谷中的鴿子哀鳴。 (cunpt)

我們豈可再違背你的命令，與這行可憎之事的民結親呢？若這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，將我們滅絕，以致沒有一個剩下逃脫的人嗎？ (cunpt)
