我同宗哈拿尼、與猶大數人偕來、我問以猶大俘囚之遺民、及耶路撒冷之事、

Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.

At that time Hanani came from Judah with some other men. He was one of my brothers. I asked him and the other men about the Jews who were left alive in Judah. They had returned from Babylon. I also asked him about Jerusalem.

我委任我的兄弟哈拿尼和营楼长哈拿尼雅，管理耶路撒冷，因为哈拿尼雅是个可信靠的人，敬畏神胜过许多人。

耶路撒冷啊！如果我忘记你，情愿我的右手忘记技巧（“忘记技巧”或译：“枯干”）。如果我不记念你，如果我不高举耶路撒冷超过我最大的喜乐，情愿我的舌头紧贴上膛。

那些去埃及地，在那里寄居的犹大余剩的人，必不能逃脱，不能幸存，不能返回他们心里渴望回去居住的犹大地；除了一些逃脱了的人以外，一个都不能返回。’”

现在，耶和华我们的神恩待我们片时，给我们存留一些逃脱的人，使我们像钉子钉在他的圣所那样的安稳，让我们的神光照我们的眼睛，使我们在所受的奴役中稍得复兴。虽然我们是奴隶，但在奴役中，我们的神仍然没有撇弃我们，反而使我们在波斯列王面前得蒙恩惠，使我们复兴，建立我们神的殿，重修毁坏的地方，使我们在犹大和耶路撒冷有墙垣。

岂没有逃脱的人来到你那里，使你听见这事吗？那时，你要向逃脱的人开口说话，不再作哑巴。你必成为他们的一个兆头。他们就知道我是耶和华。”

你们要为耶路撒冷求平安，说：“耶路撒冷啊！愿爱你的人都亨通。愿你的城墙内有平安，愿你的宫殿中有安稳。”为了我的兄弟和朋友的缘故，我要说：“愿你中间有平安。”为了耶和华我们神的殿的缘故，我要为你求福乐。

那时，逃脱的人必在被掳去的列国中想起我怎样为了他们而伤痛，因为他们动了淫乱的心离弃我，他们邪淫的眼恋慕偶像；那时他们必为了自己所行的恶事和他们一切可憎的事厌恶自己。

他们中间逃脱的，必因自己的罪孽在山上发出哀声，像谷中的鸽子哀鸣一样。

我们怎可以再违背你的诫命，与这些行可憎事的民族通婚呢？如果我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，消灭我们，以致没有一个剩余，或是逃脱的人吗？
