Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king.

求你側著耳，睜著眼的，垂聽你僕人的禱告，我今天在你面前晝夜為著你的僕人以色列人禱告，承認以色列人所犯的罪，就是我與我父的家向你所犯的罪。

亞達薛西王二十年尼散月，王面前擺上了酒席，我拿酒來奉給王。我在他面前素來沒有露出愁容。

以斯拉說：“耶和華我們列祖的神是應該稱頌的，因為他把這樣的意念放在君王的心裡，使他修飾那在耶路撒冷的耶和華的殿；又使我在王和謀士，以及王手下有權勢的領袖面前蒙恩。因為耶和華我神的手幫助我，我就有勇氣，召集以色列中一些首領，與我一同上來。”

又賜詔書，給看守王的園林的亞薩，吩咐他給我木材，建造聖殿的營樓大門的橫梁，以及建造城牆和我要入住的房屋。”因為我的神施恩的手幫助我，王就賜給我這一切。

請為我們禱告，因為我們深信自己良心無虧，願意凡事遵行正道。

恢復了酒政原來的職位，叫他可以把杯遞在法老的手中；

波斯王古列元年，耶和華為要應驗他藉耶利米的口所說的話，就激動波斯王古列的心靈，使他通令全國，傳達文告說：

耶和華啊！求你側耳聽我的禱告，留心聽我的懇求。

君王的心在耶和華手中，好像水溝的水，他可以隨意轉移。

這位以斯拉是一位經學家，精通耶和華以色列的神賜給摩西的律法；因為耶和華他神的手幫助他，所以王賜他所求的一切，他就從巴比倫上來。

但是酒政並不記念約瑟，竟把他忘記了。

那時酒政告訴法老說：“我今日想起了我的過錯。

因為他們恨惡知識，不選擇敬畏耶和華；

耶和華啊！我們等候你那審判的路徑；你的名字和稱號，都是我們心裡所愛慕的。夜間我的心渴想你，我裡面的靈切切尋求你，因為你的審判臨到大地的時候，世上的居民就會學習到甚麼是公義了。

那人說：“你的名字不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因為你與神與人較力，都得了勝。”

酒政就把自己的夢告訴約瑟，對他說：“在夢裡我看見我面前有一棵葡萄樹。葡萄樹上有三根枝子；樹一發芽，就開了花，上頭的葡萄都成熟了。法老的杯在我手裡，我拿了葡萄擠在法老的杯中，把杯遞在法老的手裡。”約瑟對他說：“這夢的解釋是這樣：三根枝子就是三天。三天之內，法老必使你抬起頭來，恢復你原來的職位；你仍要把杯遞在法老的手裡，好像先前作他的酒政時一樣。

主啊！求你聽我的聲音，求你留心聽我懇求的聲音。

法老就惱怒酒政和膳長這兩個臣宰，

願全能的神使那人憐憫你們，給你們釋放你們那個兄弟和便雅憫。至於我，如果要喪失兒子，就喪失了吧。”

求你救我脫離我哥哥以掃的手，因為我怕他來擊殺我，連母親和孩子也擊殺了。
