回見大闢城垣、隙處甚多、惟下沼有水、滙於一處。耶路撒冷之室、綜核其數、毀厥宅第、以葺城垣、內城外郭之間、鑿池以蓄舊沼之水、自昔以來、降此災者、爾何不仰望之。

故我告眾曰、遠邦之人、宜聽我言、爾雖震怒、戎服備戰、必見傷殘、終歸糜爛、

我鑿井而飲、所經之地、圍其城垣、絕其汲道、

希西家許爾上帝耶和華必拯爾於亞述王手、豈非誘爾、飢渴而死。
