干戈森列、臨陣戰鬥、駕馬列騎、戴冑而立、礪戈矛、著戎衣。耶和華曰、我觀其喪膽敗北、四周畏懼、武士戰北、逃遁維速、不顧其後。疾趨者不及逃遁、強猛者不能免難、在彼北方、百辣河濱、顛躓傾覆、彼之至也、勢若大河、波流洶湧、果為誰與、埃及人至此、譬諸巨川、彼曰、我將汎濫於斯土、毀其邑、殲其民、維爾武士、駕車乘馬、馳驟而至、古實人、弗人、俱執干戈、路得人、善挽強弓。先知曰、今日萬有之主耶和華降災於敵、雪其夙忿、使之被戮於鋒刃、飲血若醉、蓋萬有之主耶和華在於北方、百辣河濱、大行誅殛。

今耶和華震怒、欲滅巴比倫、為其殿宇雪忿、故慫慂米太王、以攻爾邑、爾雖礪鏃執盾、邑垣建旆、戍樓鞏固、命戍稽察、設伏防禦、終歸無益、蓋我耶和華昔言降災巴比倫、今已有應。

我必使我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率北方之眾、攻斯土之民、及四周鄰國、滅之殆盡、使見之者駭愕、皆作怨聲。
