The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

The Lord is good. When people are in trouble, they can go to him for safety. He takes good care of those who trust in him.

The LORD is good– indeed, he is a fortress in time of distress, and he protects those who seek refuge in him.

But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

“ I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,

For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

So now that you know God( or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?

I love you, Lord; you are my strength.The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall,

Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.

the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord. They will sing,‘ Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for the Lord is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the Lord.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.

I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.

The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God.

In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter.You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

“ But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray.

Don’t you remember what happened to the Ethiopians and Libyans and their vast army, with all of their chariots and charioteers? At that time you relied on the Lord, and he handed them over to you.The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

Praise the Lord, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me.

Your awe inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.

They told him,“ This is what King Hezekiah says: Today is a day of trouble, insults, and disgrace. It is like when a child is ready to be born, but the mother has no strength to deliver the baby.But perhaps the Lord your God has heard the Assyrian chief of staff, sent by the king to defy the living God, and will punish him for his words. Oh, pray for those of us who are left!”

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude

He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!” Hezekiah’s words greatly encouraged the people.

And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army with all its commanders and officers. So Sennacherib was forced to return home in disgrace to his own land. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with a sword.

He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

Hezekiah has said,‘ The Lord our God will rescue us from the king of Assyria.’ Surely Hezekiah is misleading you, sentencing you to death by famine and thirst!

But I will reply,‘ I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.
