The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will[ God] appoint[ for] walls and bulwarks.Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.Thou wilt keep[ him] in perfect peace,[ whose] mind[ is] stayed[ on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH[ is] everlasting strength:

Blessed[ is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and[ that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Good and upright[ is] the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I[ will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

[ Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed[ be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that[ were] with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of[ them] whose heart[ is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Blessed[ be] the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war,[ and] my fingers to fight:My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and[ he] in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

And[ men] shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.The LORD[ is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.The LORD[ is] good to all: and his tender mercies[ are] over all his works.All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day[ is] a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and[ there is] not strength to bring forth.It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up[ thy] prayer for the remnant that is left.

He only[ is] my rock and my salvation:[ he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.In God[ is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength,[ and] my refuge,[ is] in God.Trust in him at all times;[ ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God[ is] a refuge for us. Selah.

With him[ is] an arm of flesh; but with us[ is] the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in[ his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
