洋海看見就奔逃，約但河也倒流。

那使海乾旱，使大深淵的水乾涸，使海的深處變為受贖回之民經過之路的、不是你麼？

是那對淵海說：「你乾了吧，我必使你的江河乾涸」的，

我來的時候、為甚麼沒有人等候呢？我呼喚時、為甚麼沒有人回答呢？難道我手臂太短、不能贖救麼？或是說：我沒有援救之力麼？看哪，我以叱責使海乾涸；我使江河變為曠野；其中的魚因無水而發臭，乾渴而死。我使諸天穿上黑暗為服裝，我以麻布做它的遮蓋物。』

耶穌對他們說：『小信的人哪，為甚麼膽怯？』便起來，斥責風和海，就大大平靜了。

洋海啊，你為甚麼奔逃？約但河啊，你為甚麼倒流？

他說：『永恆主從錫安吼叫，從耶路撒冷發出聲音，牧人的草場就悲哀，迦密的山頂就枯乾。』

是你使泉源和谿谷裂開，是你使長流不息的江河乾涸。

等到抬全地之主永恆主之櫃那祭司的腳一插在約但河水裏，約但河的水就會被截斷，那從上邊往下流的水便會站住、成為一壘。人民離開帳棚往前行、要過約但河的時候，抬約櫃的祭司在人民前面。原來約但河水在收割的日子總是漲滿河岸的。當下抬櫃的人來到約但河；抬櫃的祭司的腳一蘸在水邊，

江海中的水必乾透，江河必旱竭乾涸。江河支流必變臭，埃及尼羅河溝的水必降低，而旱竭；荻子和蘆葦都必枯爛。尼羅河旁的菖蒲都必枯萎；河邊所種的都必枯乾，被吹散，歸於無有。打魚的人必憂傷悲哀，垂釣於尼羅河中的必都悲傷，撒網於水面上的必衰萎無力。作麻活的必失望：梳麻的和織白布料的都必羞愧。社會的砥柱人物必被擊碎，所有受薪的工人心裏都很憂愁。

那造昴星和參星、使漆黑變為早晨、使白日變為黑夜，命令海裏的水傾倒於地上的、耶和華是他的名；

說：「你只可到這裏，不可再進；你狂傲的波浪到這裏要止息住』？

我必使江河乾涸，將這地交付於壞人手中；我必藉着外族人的手使這地和其中所有的都變為淒涼：這是我永恆主說的。
