祂斥責紅海，海就乾了，祂帶領他們走過深淵，如履乾地。

你一聲怒叱，眾水便奔逃；你一聲雷鳴，眾水就奔流，

大海看見他們就奔逃，約旦河也倒流。

難道不是你使海洋和深淵乾涸，在海中開出道路讓蒙救贖的人穿過的嗎？

我對深海說，『枯乾吧！我要使你的河流乾涸』；

為什麼我來的時候一個人也不在？為什麼我呼喚的時候沒有人回答？是我的臂膀太短不能救贖你們嗎？是我沒有能力拯救你們嗎？看啊，我斥責一聲，海就乾了；我使江河變為曠野，魚類因無水而乾死，發出腥臭。我使黑暗遮蔽穹蒼，用麻布掩蓋天空。」

耶穌答道：「你們信心太小了，為什麼害怕呢？」於是祂起來斥責風和浪，風浪就完全平靜了。

大海啊，你為何奔逃？約旦河啊，你為何倒流？

他說：「耶和華在錫安怒吼，在耶路撒冷呼喊。牧人的草場枯乾，迦密山頂枯黃。」

你曾開闢泉源和溪流，也曾使滔滔河水枯乾。

當祭司抬著天下之主——耶和華的約櫃一踏進約旦河，往下流的河水必會止住，形成一道水堤。」那時是收割的季節，河水高漲，淹沒兩岸。民眾拔營準備過河的時候，抬約櫃的祭司走在前頭，當他們的腳剛一踏進河水，

尼羅河必枯竭，河床必乾涸。河流必發臭，埃及的河流逐漸枯竭。蘆荻和燈心草必枯死，尼羅河兩岸青草枯黃，田地龜裂，莊稼被風吹去，蕩然無存。所有在尼羅河下鉤的漁夫都哀哭悲傷，在河上撒網的人都傷痛。紡紗織布的人一籌莫展，感到絕望。埃及的顯貴都沒落，靠工錢維生的人都憂心忡忡。

那位造昴星和參星，使幽暗變為黎明，使白晝變為黑夜，召來海水澆在大地上的——祂的名字是耶和華。

說，『你到此為止，不可越界；你狂傲的波濤要停在這裡。』

我要使尼羅河乾涸，把土地賣給惡人，我要藉外族人的手使地和地上的一切都荒廢，這是我耶和華說的。』
