Yahweh has commanded concerning you:“ No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”

耶和华已经出令，指着尼尼微说：“你名下的人必不留后；我必从你神的庙中除灭雕刻的偶像和铸造的偶像；我必因你鄙陋，使你归于坟墓。”

耶和華有命、告爾尼尼微王云、爾祚不長、爾上帝之殿、木偶金像、毀之殆盡、爾誠卑鄙、必於斯殞亡、

惟爾尼尼微王、主已命定爾不留後傳名、必自爾神廟中、除滅雕刻之像及鑄像、我已為爾備墓、蓋爾甚為陋劣、

The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh:“ You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the images and idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.”

Nineveh, the Lord has given an order concerning you. He has said,“ You will not have any children to carry on your name. I will destroy the wooden and metal statues that are in the temple of your gods. I will get your grave ready for you. You are worthless.”

And this is what the Lord says concerning the Assyrians in Nineveh:“ You will have no more children to carry on your name. I will destroy all the idols in the temples of your gods. I am preparing a grave for you because you are despicable!”

The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

Bel bows down. Nebo stoops. Their idols are carried by animals, and on the livestock. The things that you carried around are heavy loads, a burden for the weary.They stoop and they bow down together. They could not deliver the burden, but they have gone into captivity.

“ In his place a contemptible person will stand up, to whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom; but he will come in time of security, and will obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Yahweh.

“ Declare among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don’t conceal: say,‘ Babylon has been taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed! Her images are disappointed. Her idols are dismayed.’

You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The offspring of evildoers will not be named forever.Prepare for slaughter of his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, that they not rise up and possess the earth, and fill the surface of the world with cities.“ I will rise up against them,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son,” says Yahweh.

Yahweh sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, those who came out of his own body killed him there with the sword.

The burden of Egypt.“ Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.

I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.

Hear, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might.”
