耶和华已经出令，指着尼尼微说：“你名下的人必不留后；我必从你神的庙中除灭雕刻的偶像和铸造的偶像；我必因你鄙陋，使你归于坟墓。”

耶和华已经发命令，指着你说：“你的名下必不再留后；我要从你神明的庙中除灭雕刻的偶像和铸造的偶像，我必因你的卑贱，为你预备坟墓。”

耶和華論敵、發命曰、以爾名而稱者、不復繼傳、雕鑄之像、我將滅於爾神之室、爾乃卑陋、我為爾造墓矣、

耶和華有命、告爾尼尼微王云、爾祚不長、爾上帝之殿、木偶金像、毀之殆盡、爾誠卑鄙、必於斯殞亡、

惟爾尼尼微王、主已命定爾不留後傳名、必自爾神廟中、除滅雕刻之像及鑄像、我已為爾備墓、蓋爾甚為陋劣、

The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh:“ You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the images and idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.”

Nineveh, the Lord has given an order concerning you. He has said,“ You will not have any children to carry on your name. I will destroy the wooden and metal statues that are in the temple of your gods. I will get your grave ready for you. You are worthless.”

The Lord has given commandment about you:“ No more shall your name be perpetuated; from the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the metal image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”

And this is what the Lord says concerning the Assyrians in Nineveh:“ You will have no more children to carry on your name. I will destroy all the idols in the temples of your gods. I am preparing a grave for you because you are despicable!”

The LORD has issued an order concerning you: There will be no offspring to carry on your name. I will eliminate the carved idol and cast image from the house of your gods; I will prepare your grave, for you are contemptible.

The Lord has issued a command concerning you:“ Your name will no longer be perpetuated. I will eliminate the carved image and the cast metal image From the house of your gods. I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible.”

The Lord has given a command concerning you:“ Your name shall be perpetuated no longer. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the molded image. I will dig your grave, For you are vile.”

And Jehovah hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

願他斷子絕孫，他的姓氏傳不到下一代。

義人流芳於世，惡人名聲朽爛。

「亞述和她的大軍都在那裡，她周圍是她大軍的墳墓。他們都是喪身刀下的人。他們的墳墓在陰間的最深處，她的大軍躺臥在她墳墓的周圍。他們生前曾使人恐懼，如今卻喪身刀下。

一天，亞述王在他的神明尼斯洛的廟裡祭拜時，他的兩個兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他，逃往亞拉臘。他的另一個兒子以撒哈頓繼位。

我要從你們中間除去雕刻的神像和神柱，使你們不再跪拜自己所造的。

我對以利說過我要永遠懲罰他家，因為他知道自己的兒子褻瀆我，卻沒有制止他們。

這全是因為尼尼微像妖媚的妓女大肆淫亂，慣行邪術，以淫行誘惑列國，靠邪術欺騙各族。萬軍之耶和華說：「我要與你為敵。我要把你的衣裙掀到你臉上，使列國看見你的裸體，使列邦看見你的羞恥。我要把可憎之物拋在你身上，侮辱你，讓眾人觀看。

「接著繼位的是一個卑鄙的人。他無權繼位，卻乘人不備用奸計奪取王位。

求你成為保護我的磐石，讓我可以隨時投靠你。求你下令救我，因為你是我的磐石和堡壘。

「因為那一夜我要巡遍埃及，把境內所有長子和頭生的牲畜全都殺掉，也要嚴懲埃及所有的神明。我是耶和華。

「你要向列國宣告，你要豎起旗幟毫不隱瞞地宣告，『巴比倫要淪陷了！它的神明彼勒必蒙羞，米羅達必驚慌；巴比倫的神像都蒙羞，偶像都必驚慌。

你必得不到君王的葬禮，因為你禍國殃民，殺害自己的百姓。「惡人的子孫必永遠被遺忘。預備殺戮他的子孫吧，因為他們的祖先罪惡深重，免得他們興起統治世界、到處建造城邑。」萬軍之耶和華說：「我必攻擊巴比倫，剷除巴比倫的名號、餘民和後裔。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華就差遣一個天使進入亞述王營中，毀滅了所有的勇士、官長和將領。西拿基立只好滿臉羞愧地返回自己的國家。趁他去他神明的廟裡時，他的幾個親生兒子用刀殺了他。

以下是關於埃及的預言：看啊，耶和華駕著疾馳的雲來到埃及。埃及的偶像在祂面前顫抖，埃及人膽戰心驚。

我要毀滅你們的邱壇，拆掉你們的香壇，把你們的屍體堆在你們毫無氣息的神像上。我厭惡你們。

遠方的人啊，要聽一聽我的作為。近處的人啊，要承認我的大能。
