The Lord says,“ His army has many soldiers. Other nations are helping them. But they will be destroyed and pass away. Judah, I punished you. But I will not do it anymore.

Thus says the Lord,“ Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

This is what the Lord says:“ Though the Assyrians have many allies, they will be destroyed and disappear. O my people, I have punished you before, but I will not punish you again.

His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders.”This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations.For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
