耶和华如此说：“尼尼微虽然势力充足，人数繁多，也被剪除，归于无有。犹大啊，我虽然使你受苦，却不再使你受苦。

永恆主這麼說：『他的軍兵雖曾完整一時，卻必有多麼多就被剪除多麼多，而他們就這樣過去了。嘿，我必使你受挫折，免得再使你受挫折。猶大啊，

耶和華曰、敵雖力足人多、亦將見滅、歸於烏有、我昔雖苦爾、不復苦爾矣、

耶和華曰、敵雖眾多、安然無恙、亦必殲滅、歸於烏有、惟爾小民、昔遭患難、皆不遇害、

主如是云、彼彼即尼尼微人雖力盛、而且眾多、亦必翦滅、歸於烏有、猶大民歟、昔我降災於爾、不復降災於爾、

This is what the Lord says:“ Although they have allies and are numerous, they will be destroyed and pass away. Although I have afflicted you, Judah, I will afflict you no more.

The Lord says,“ His army has many soldiers. Other nations are helping them. But they will be destroyed and pass away. Judah, I punished you. But I will not do it anymore.

Thus says the Lord,“ Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

This is what the Lord says:“ Though the Assyrians have many allies, they will be destroyed and disappear. O my people, I have punished you before, but I will not punish you again.

This is what the LORD says: Though they are strong and numerous, they will still be mowed down, and he will pass away. Though I have punished you, I will punish you no longer.

This is what the Lord says:“ Though they are at full strength and so they are many, So also they will be cut off and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer.

Thus says the Lord:“ Though they are safe, and likewise many, Yet in this manner they will be cut down When he passes through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more;

Thus saith Jehovah: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

Thus saith the LORD; Though[ they be] quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

This is what the LORD says:“ Even though they are powerful– and what is more, even though their army is numerous– nevertheless, they will be destroyed and trickle away! Although I afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

Yahweh says:“ Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so they will be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

你的主耶和華，為子民辯屈的神如此說：「看哪！我已經從你手中拿走了使人踉蹌的杯，就是我怒火的杯盞，你絕不會再喝它了。

然後湧入猶大，漫溢氾濫，高達頸項！他展開的翅膀，遍滿你廣闊的土地，以馬內利啊！」

他的氣息如漫溢的河水，直漲到頸項；他要用毀滅的篩把列國篩淨，又在眾民的臉頰套上使他們迷失的轡頭。你們卻會歌唱，像守聖節的夜晚那樣；並會心裡喜樂，像人伴著笛聲行走，上耶和華的山，到以色列的磐石那裡。耶和華必使人聽見他威嚴的聲音，又以猛烈的怒氣、吞噬的火焰、暴雨、狂風和石頭般的冰雹，使人看見他掄下來的膀臂。亞述人必因耶和華的聲音而喪膽，耶和華必用杖擊打他們；耶和華施刑的杖每打他們一下，人都會擊鼓和彈琴；打仗的時候，耶和華必揮手與他們爭戰。原來，那焚燒場早已安排好了，是為君王所預備的；它又深又寬，其中充滿了火和許多木柴；耶和華的氣息如同一股硫磺火使它燃燒起來。

看哪，傍晚時分必有恐怖的事，未到早晨他們就不復存在了！這就是搶掠我們之人的份，是掠奪我們之人的命運。

錫安的民——住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你必不再哭泣！他必定恩待你，他聽了你哀求的聲音，就必回應你。

「亞述人必倒在刀下，這刀不是人的刀；必有刀吞噬他們，這刀不是人的刀。他們必不能從刀下逃遁，他們的青年人必服苦役，

你的地上必不再聽見殘暴的事，你的境內也不再聽見毀壞和破敗的事；你必稱你的城牆為「救恩」，稱你的城門為「讚美」。白天太陽必不再作你的光，月亮的光輝也不再照亮你；耶和華必作你永遠的光，你的神必作你的榮耀。你的太陽必不再下落，你的月亮也不再虧缺；耶和華必作你永遠的光，你哀慟的日子將會結束。

他們將不再飢餓，也不再乾渴；太陽或任何炎熱也不會傷到他們；

於是耶和華的使者出去，在亞述的營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；清早人們起來，看哪，所見的都是死屍！

「北方王的兒子們將發動戰爭，他們必招聚極大的軍團，洶湧而來，如洪水漫溢，縱橫穿越，一次次爭戰，直到南方王的堡壘。

就在那日，亞述人要在挪伯站住，揮手攻擊錫安城的山，就是耶路撒冷的岡陵。看哪！主萬軍之耶和華將以震撼之力削去樹枝；高聳的必被砍下，高大的必被伐倒；樹林中的密叢，他必用鐵器砍掉；黎巴嫩必因威嚴的那一位而倒下。

「到那日，主必雇用幼發拉底河對岸的剃刀——亞述王，剃光你們的頭髮和腳毛，也刮掉你們的鬍鬚。

萬軍之耶和華起誓說：「我怎樣想，也必怎樣成；我怎樣策劃，也必怎樣成立。我要在我的地上摧毀亞述，在我的群山上把它踐踏；它所加的軛必離開以色列人，它所加的重擔必離開他們的肩頭。」這就是對全地所策劃的謀略，這就是向萬國所伸出的手。要知道，萬軍之耶和華已經策劃了，有誰能破壞呢？他的手已經伸出了，有誰能使其收回呢？
