He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,

Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles,and they will mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him, and He will rise after three days.”

Then they left that place and made their way through Galilee, but He did not want anyone to know it.For He was teaching His disciples and telling them,“ The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after He is killed, He will rise three days later.”

and said,“ Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive He said,‘ After three days I will rise again.’

He will not argue or shout, and no one will hear His voice in the streets.

Then Jesus told him,“ See that you don’t tell anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed, as a testimony to them.”
