他們離開那裡，經過加利利，耶穌不願意讓人知道。那時，他教導自己的門徒們，對他們說：「人子被交在人的手中，他們要殺害他。然後被殺之後，在第三天他要復活。」

說：「大人，我們想起當那個迷惑人的還活著時曾經說過：『在第三天我要復活。』

他不爭競、不喧嚷，大街上也沒有人聽見他的聲音。

耶穌對他說：「你要注意，不可告訴任何人，只要去把自己給祭司看，並且獻上摩西所吩咐的祭物，好對他們做見證。」
