他们离开那里，经过加利利，耶稣不愿意让人知道。那时，他教导自己的门徒们，对他们说：“人子被交在人的手中，他们要杀害他。然后被杀之后，在第三天他要复活。”

说：“大人，我们想起当那个迷惑人的还活着时曾经说过：‘在第三天我要复活。’

他不争竞、不喧嚷，大街上也没有人听见他的声音。

耶稣对他说：“你要注意，不可告诉任何人，只要去把自己给祭司看，并且献上摩西所吩咐的祭物，好对他们做见证。”
