Peter exclaimed,“ Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials— one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters— one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

And Peter answereth and saith to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

Then Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it’s good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

So Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters– one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Peter answered Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.

No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him.And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.

The Lord replied to Moses,“ I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”Moses responded,“ Then show me your glorious presence.”The Lord replied,“ I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.”The Lord continued,“ Look, stand near me on this rock.As my glorious presence passes by, I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.Then I will remove my hand and let you see me from behind. But my face will not be seen.”

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.

They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called‘ Rabbi.’

Philip said,“ Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”Jesus replied,“ Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?

Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”Judas( not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him,“ Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?”Jesus replied,“ All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken down wall or a tottering fence.
