And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

但是我告訴你們：凡向弟兄發怒的，必須擔受判罰；凡罵弟兄為「飯桶」的，必須擔受議院的判罰；凡罵弟兄為「傻瓜」的，必須擔受地獄的火。

倘若你的一隻手使你絆跌，把它砍掉吧。你殘廢了進入生命，比有兩隻手而往地獄裏，入那不滅的火裏倒好呢。

假使你的一隻眼使你絆跌，把它剜出來，丟掉吧；你獨眼進入生命，比有兩隻眼而被丟在火燒的地獄裏倒好呢。

但是我告訴你們、凡看婦女、而動慾念的，這人心裏已經和她犯了姦淫了。若是你的右眼使你絆跌，你要把它剜出來，丟掉它；因為你肢體中的一肢失掉了，而你的全身不丟在地獄裏，這對於你倒還好。

但從前於我為贏得的、這一切、我為基督的緣故都看做虧損了。不但如此，為了要得認識我主基督耶穌——這種認識之至寶，我竟將萬事都看做虧損了；為了他，我已經虧損了一切，看做糞土，為要贏得基督，

那麼、你們當日所自許為有福的在哪裏呢？我可以給你們作證，假使可能，你們早已把自己的眼睛挖出來給我了！

愛父親或母親過於愛我的，配不起我；愛兒子或女兒過於愛我的，配不起我；不拿着自己的十字架來跟從我的，也配不起我。獲得性命的，乃失掉性命；為了我的緣故失掉性命的，乃獲得性命。

於是女人見那棵樹的果子做食品似乎好喫，又悅人眼目，而且可喜愛、能使人有智慧，就摘取那果子來喫了；又給她丈夫一齊喫，她丈夫也喫了。

『人來找我，除非少愛自己的父親、母親、妻子、弟兄、姐妹、甚至於自己的性命、就不能做我的門徒。

『我對我的眼立約，我怎能戀戀瞻望處女呢？

求你使我轉眼、不看虛謊；使我在你的話語上活過來。
